Ovulation tests- BBT question, post 22 - Page 2

It's really hard to say what's happening with your temps right now b/c you only have a few days worth.  If you had more of a pre-O pattern we could tell if that temp on CD23 is an outlier or not.  If it is, then you could have the start of a biphasic pattern.  I would keep DTD for a few more days.

Posted this in Nursing mommys TTC too, but I wanted your advice too.

I am utterly confused about my BBT.  I am pretty sure I O'd on the 2nd (CD26), my temp went up yesterday a bit and my cervix is lower, and firm  as of yesterday and today.  My CM has dried up mostly and what is left is a bit sticky and crumbly.  My nipples are sore and my ovaries are not hurting anymore, I have been (entire cycle) and am continuing to have uterine cramping.  But  alas, today my temp dipped even more.... I just don't get it.

I took my temp quite a few times to see if the thermometer was  broke.... here is what I got (always under my tongue, but I tried different sides):

5:45- 97.04 (Right side of tongue)

5:50- 97.24 (Right)

5:55- 96.82 (Left side of tongue)

6:00- 97.14 (Right side)

6:10- 96.82 (left side)

8:15- 97.52 (Right side)

DD2 always wakes up to nurse 3-6 times a night and we are all sick, so I think I slept with my mouth open.

I am feeling really depressed and quite cranky today.

anyone know about BBT?  am I doing it  wrong?  I am thinking of taking my temps vaginally, can I switch now  and see a shift?

It looks to me like, unfortunately, you did not succeed in Oing on CD22.  Your temps, CF, and CP all indicate that you geared up, but it didn't work.  I expect you'll see a new patch of fertile CF soon as your body tries again.  I doubt you're doing anything wrong.  I recommend always marking the first temp you get when you first wake up.  Retaking your temp almost always results in confusion and usually rising temps as it gets later in the morning and you wake up more and more.  Switching to vaginal temping would be fine, but generally I would recommend waiting until the next cycle so you don't have half a chart with oral and half with vaginal.  A lot of women find they get more consistent temps vaginally and it would eliminate the question of environment effects like sleeping with your mouth open.  However, I really don't think that was affecting things since your temps continued to go down over the next few days.  It just looks to me that you're still in your follicular phase and O will be quite delayed this cycle.
