Just moved to South Bend, IN, Looking for natural minded pediatrician? Also a question about...

I just moved to South Bend IN from WV and I am looking for a natural minded ped who will not push vaccinations. I have vaxed my oldest daughter but her ped was very pushy and did not like to discuss the vaccines before giving them. Half the time he would randomly spring them on me at appointments, sometimes early, sometimes late, so I could never predict when she was supposed to be getting them. He was also not supportive of my breastfeeding, extended rear facing, or cloth diapering...he actually asked me when I would give it up?!

I would like to not make that mistake again and I am hoping to find a natural minded doctor who is willing to take a different approach than a regular pediatrician was with my 2.5 year old and my due any day newborn.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Also I dont have insurance set up here yet, because of that I am not able to make every week doctors appointments. I am hoping to make one with the Womens Reproductive Center to get set up with a midwife, but as I said my baby is due any day and in case I dont get set up with a doctor in time will I still be able to have a midwife deliver my child at the hospital or will I just have whatever OB is on call? I am hoping for an all natural birth, but due to a serious seizure disorder I must deliver in a hospital.

Thanks a bunch.

we use laura helman.  she has never pushed vaccines on us, just asks us if we want to do and if we don't she says ok.

We use Dr. Topers (Pediatric Associates of Michiana) and we love them. We are doing selective vaccinations and a spread-out schedule. Every vaccination visit, we are reminded by them the ones that we are missing, but they don't push it. I really like them! The wife is a little bit more open-minded than the husband, so you can request her.

Thank you both so much! I just set an appointment with the Topers this morning to meet with them personally before bringing my daughters. They take our insurance and I have heard many good things about them.
