Welcome to your Spotlight on thread, Bubblema! (and forgive me for getting this up so late!)

Some starter questions:

Where do you live?

What do you do (day job, profession, SAHM, etc.)?

How did you select your MDC name?

How many children do you have?

Ladies, ask away!

Hi Bubblema/Sarah!

How many children do you want?

Whats your favorite flavor of ice cream?

What do you hope to instill in your children above all else?

Oh yay!! :D

Where do you live?  The suburbs of Atlanta

What do you do (day job, profession, SAHM, etc.)?  I'm a substitute pre-school teacher at the moment.  I'm also a trained Montessori teacher, and would love to eventually get back into a true Montessori environment.

How did you select your MDC name?  I just wanted to ask a question so I picked something silly at random.

How many children do you have?  I have one DD, 9 and two step children DSS, 7 and DSD, 5.  They live with their mom in North Carolina, and we see them basically whenever they have a break from school, and for about 3 weeks during the summer.

How many children do you want?  I would love to have at least one (maybe two) more.

Whats your favorite flavor of ice cream?  If I had to pick just one it would be Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Brownie.

What do you hope to instill in your children above all else?  Gosh, I think the most important thing is the ability to think for themselves and solve problems on their own.  Confidence is also very important to me, that kind of goes along with that.

Hmm...I really love food.   I have lots of favorites!  I love sushi, but I haven't had it in so long!  :(  I also usually love pasta, but I haven't really enjoyed it since I got pregnant.  I think it's the garlic, usually I can't get enough garlic but it turns my stomach now. :(  I also love salmon, scallops, lobster, calamari, crab...mmm.  Luckily I haven't had a problem eating those!  Fresh fruit is something I've been enjoying a lot lately.  Especially cherries and pineapple.  Gyros, hummus, pita, Chicken Tikka Masala, naan, samosas...there are so many foods I love.  I could go on all day.  lol

As for cravings, I haven't really had any crazy ones yet.  Right now I'm craving scallops!  We had some for dinner the other night at a restaurant and they were SOOO good.  No pickles and peanut butter or anything strange like that though.

Oh, good question!!  :D  I LOVE the focus on independence, and the focus on figuring things out/learning how to learn.  Plus, I just think it's so visually pleasing.  A well set up Montessori environment is one of the most beautiful things IMO.

I totally agree!  Iove Montessori and hope to get my AMI cert some day soon.  All my kids are in Montessori and it is amazing --not only what they learn, but their respect for themselves and others!  I wish there were more public Montessori schools in the US, since it is such a great model.  Not for everyone, but for more then can access it!

Why does everyone insist that's a pregnancy thing??  I was raised eating PB & pickle sandwiches.  Or PB & banana.  Or PB & honey.  We rarely ate PB&J.

What is your life's ambition?

What do you want to be remembered for?

If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

I don't know, it's just the first two things I thought of.  lol

What is your life's ambition?  I would love to own a Montessori school someday.

What do you want to be remembered for?  Being kind, caring, loving, and a good spouse and mother.

If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?  I would love to visit a lot of places, but I think I would most love someplace warm and tropical.  Like Fiji or Bora Bora.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?  I haven't been outside the US, so I can't really answer that.  I *think* it would be fun to live in Europe (Paris, maybe?), but I don't really know.  So I'm going to say that I would live here, in Atlanta.  I really love it here.  It's pretty, people are friendly, housing is affordable, and it's diverse.  :)

I stink at picking favorites!

Movies: Labyrinth, The Little Princess (1995 version), The Butterfly Effect, Toy Story (all 3), Harry Potter (all) My Neighbor Totoro...

Favorite books: The Paris Wife, The Great Gatsby, Harry Potter series

My favorite thing about being pregnant is feeling all the movement!  It's fun to imagine what the heck she's doing in there. :)  It feels like cartwheels and grand jetes!  lol

Least favorite:  I really hate not being able to get comfortable at night.

I love Toy Story...

1  more question~

Describe your ideal day :)

My ideal day...hmmm....It would probably be spent somewhere tropical.  Snorkeling, shopping, eating amazing food, and just relaxing.  No schedule, no stress, no responsibilities.
