Buddhism books?

Im really interested in getting to know a bit about Buddhism, but couldn't find anything at the library with that in the title. Could you recommend a book for me? Anyone looked into it, which book did you find useful? I don't really know where to start.

My library had a recording of some of Pema Chodron's work (The Way of the Bodhisattva) which I found a great introduction and inspiring to listen to.  She teaches in a style which is very approachable to westerners (being a westerner herself).

I really enjoyed (and continue to refer back to) Buddhism for Mothers by Sarah Napthali. It was the book that really started it all for me... Prior to reading it, I hadn't really thought that there could be a connection between parenting and spirituality.  Really... I mean, I had read a lot of parenting books prior to Buddhism for Mothers, and yet, I still found myself struggling with practicing the principles I kept reading about. Especially when It came to the positive discipline & gentle parenting arena. 

Soon after reading Buddhism for Mothers, I sought out other books with a similar theme -- the overarching theme being applying Buddhist teachings & mindfulness to parenting, and also, daily life. Other works I continue to enjoy are:

Mommy Mantras - Bethany Casarjian &  Diane Dillon

Everyday Blessings - Jon Kabat Zinn  (this author has many other book titles at our library)

works by Thich Nhat Hanh, Thubten Chodron, Lama Surya Das and Dzogchen Ponlop       

Since I have a long commute to & from work (2-3x a week), I get to enjoy audiobooks as I drive. I have really enjoyed listening to audiobooks by Sharon Salzburg & Deepak Chopra.

I've found these authors & their words really approachable and relatable to me. Hope you find some works that help you too!
