Welcome to Mothering!

What you are talking about is totally normal. Some women even experience spotting around ovulation!

For some women it is very common to feel cramping or even back pain during ovulation.  I experienced both this month.  If your not sure your ovulating I would recommend charting your temperature with a BBT thermometer (a great book is Taking Charge of Your Fertility) and doing OPK's to test for the lh surge.  After having years of infertility TTC DS1 I would really recommend charting as it really shows you what is happening (or not happening) during your cycle and it can really help your doctor pin point what is going on.  Good Luck!

Many women experience hormonal symptoms similar to AF around the time of O such as cramping, bloating, irritability, aches and pains, etc.  Spotting is not common around O, but can happen.  If these symptoms are not normal for you around O then I would guess that you're having some abnormal (for you) hormonal fluctuations going on that could be caused by any variety of things like stress, illness, injury, travel, diet and exercise changes, etc.

But the real question is if/when you ovulated.  Can you share your chart?  Many people use www.fertilityfriend.com to enter their charting data and share their charts on sites like this.  It's free and easy to use. It's hard to tell from the temps your posted if you are indeed in your luteal phase b/c mid-high 97's (in F) could be LP temps for some women, but for me those would still be pre-O temps.  It's necessary to see the overall pattern to determine O.  If you have not yet O'd then your body could be gearing up to O repeatedly and not succeeding, causing your symptoms.  What has your CF been like?  Were you seeing fertile CF prior to Sunday and now you're dry?  Or are you continuing to get patches of fertile CF?
