I'm thinking the way oxyclean gets things out is the same way hydrogen peroxide does. If so, is there a this much oxyclean equals this much peroxide ratio?

This is the only info I found right off:
Quote:The main ingredients are sodium percarbonate, soda ash and some cute little blue grains. We don't know what the blue grains are. We do know it's patented - so it's seems like it's a secret for now.

This recipe says to use washing soda instead of baking soda:

I KNEW it! Thank you. I'd had trouble googling it. Washing soda and peroxide makes complete sense. I can add that to my diapers each night and, along with my homemade detergent, it might just do the job.

FYI- Oxiclean is not considered cloth diaper safe. I can't remember what the issue is for sure, either it is hard on PUL like vinegar or it builds up. It is for occasional use onl.

Quote:WHAT!?!? I never knew that. I used it for years on mine. Gotta look into this (and stop suggesting it to people who are cloth diapering). Oh, wait, I guess it would be an issue for covers only if the issue was the PUL (I also didn't know that about vinegar--- I thought on occasional vinegar rinse was suggested on fleece diapers like fuzzi bunz). If you have any more info on this, I'd love it!
