Hello~

I have been in the group for about a week now.  This is my third pregnancy.  DH and I have 2 other boys (5.5 Years and 22mos).  This pregnancy was definitely an opps...but we are so excited!!!  I am still feeling well.  Fatique and M/S usually kick in for me around 6 weeks.  I am 5 weeks today!!!  I am meeting with my homebirth midwife on Friday.  I am so excited about seeing her again and planning another homebirth.

Hi everyone!

I got a positive pregnancy test this morning after sitting on taking one for a week and a half. I just didn't really want to believe I could be pregnant. As much as I LOVE having another one its totally wrong timing. We are in a middle of a move, my husband just got back from a deployment so we are readjusting to being back together, I'm starting home school with my daughter this year (kindergarten! where has the time gone) and our families are really not supportive about us having another child. BUT the Lord has decided to bless us anyway, just need to get use to the idea..

I'm Heather, stay at home mom to three (2 girls, ages 5 and 3, a baby just turned a year on the 4th) and wife for 6 years to my husband. My husband is an active duty Marine, we live in North Carolina for the time being. Id love a home birth but don't' know if we can afford it since Tricare doesn't cover it, I really don't have 2000-3000 to spend because I don't want to deliver in a hospital (again). My middle was an unplanned UC, came in about an hour and a half so no time to make it to a hospital. My 3rd was born in the triage area of the L&D because they didn't have time to get me to a room. Maybe this one will decide not to wait as well and take the choice from us.

We aren't planning on telling our families until at least the 3rd trimester if at all. My husband told me we should just post a picture when the baby is born and tell everyone that we hope they are happy to have a new family member. Neither of us want to deal with the hate that we had to deal with when I got pregnant the second and third time (second my father offered to pay for an abortion, the 3rd his grandpa asked when the appointment was to get my tubes tied!) so maybe it will be better and less stressful if we don't say anything.

Heather- we are a homeschool family as well!!  I'm sorry you are upset about the timing and have unsupportive family. :(  No fun. :(  I hope things begin to look up for you!!

I wish we could wait even longer to tell people!  ALL my family lives near us so we see them on a regular basis, so there's no hiding it or keeping it a secret among a few or anything. LOL

Greetings Mammas! I am excited and shocked to be joining you! It took a while to conceive our precious DS, so when I got positive test the 2nd month- we were quite surprised! I am a bit of a nervous nelly, so while I am excited I am also cautious and hesitant to celebrate fully. I estimate my due date to be 10/18, which should be pretty accurate since I know when we DTD smile.gif And when I ovulated.

Wishing you all joy filled, healthy, wonderful pregnancies!!!!!!

Hi! I am here unexpectedly, due early October.  I have a 8 yr old and a 2 yr old, and although this baby is unexpected, we are very excited.  This one will be due right after my 2 yr olds birthday, so that will be interesting.  We're a little worried and a little cautious because we have had two miscarriages before our 2 yr old was born.  Still nursing our 2 yr old, and worried how to prepare her - I think she's going to be jealous.  So I'll be looking for advice on that front.  Looking forward to getting to know all of you!

Well, I too have already posted here, but now that I have noticed the intro thread... blush.gif.  Anyway, DH and I are SUPER excited to have baby #1.  We both come from relatively large families (5-6 kids) and have always known we wanted kids. We had a MC in Oct.  just before 6wks, so we are trying to think happy thoughts and have a sticky bean. Doc says baby is due Oct 3rd, but I know my Mom's babies were usually late- haven't asked MIL about her babies' punctuality yet. Looking forward to your company in the upcoming months!

Also, Degas- as soon as my Mom found out I was pregnant (even though its my first) she told me to read Siblings Without Rivalry by Adele Faber and Elaine Mazlish- she wishes she had read it sooner in her life. It has a LOT in it, but what it said really made sense to me- you may want to check your library for it (I don't like to buy books until I have read them and know they are worth it).

Hi Ladies.  I wanted to introduce myself and bump this thread.

I'm expecting number 2 in mid-October.  My DD is 21 m/o.  DH and I had been NTNP since she was born and actively trying since June.  I contribute my success to TCM, acupuncture and taking progesterone for my last 2 LPs.  I'm still in total disbelief.  I'm not sure when it will really sink in that I'm not still TTC.

Glad to join you all.

I can't believe I'm here!  I really haven't been on the boards much since my youngest was a toddler (he's almost three!).  So...I'm back and am SHOCKED to join another DDC.  Normally, my cycles are short, full of spotting, and extremely predictable because I break out.  I was convinced that because I was under a lot of stress during the time when I would normally be ovulating that being a week late was just...well, being late!  It was my dh who was growing concerned and picked up tests for me.  Now, I had already done a couple dollar store tests that I took a couple days ago, but one was neg, the other had a faint line that didn't convince me at all.  He bought an "expensive" kind and we got two BFP--one last night (Happy Valentine's Day?) and the other this morning.

We have four boys already and are still floored to think of having one more!  For one, we'll have to add on to the house, since we have two boys to each room as it is.  On another note, our families are going to FLIP!

I'm planning to continue working--not a full-time job (I teach Zumba at the Y)--until at least the last month.  Holy crap, though!  And we just got rid of all our baby clothes, newborn diapers, etc.

Well, here we go again!  EDD: Oct 21!   Looks like I'll have another Scorpio in the house.  o_O

Looking forward to journeying with you all!

Welcome, Sheandaru, and CONGRATS!! Should I add your date to the EDD list?

Hello there. I just got my BFP on Wednesday! I think I tested about 3 or 4 days before my period is due, and it was a faint line, but definitely a line. I'm going to test again either tomorrow or Saturday just to be sure. This will be our second; my DD will be 3 in March. I haven't been charting or keeping track of anything, so it's all a bit of guesswork on the due date and the like. Apparently it'll be due on the 28th October.

This time has been quite different from my first pregnancy so far. I have had so many symptoms from early on, so I knew I must be pregnant. It started with light headedness and nausea, my sense of smell went mad and my tummy felt tender. Then the implantation bleeding made an appearance. And now my daughter has started acting funny. She's suddenly become very clingy, and has been getting upset over minor things, which is unlike her. I also found her being violent towards a doll, and telling me she doesn't want to look after it any more. I think she knows.

So yeah, I look forward to being a part of this community, and hopefully the baby will stick!

Hi!

I'm a first time mommy. I'm 21 but am the oldest of 7 so I'm a champ at the baby thing! My little bean was totally unplanned but I'm super excited. And I'm due October 12th!

Hello,

I got my BFP test this morning and I am over the moon!  If I figured it out correctly I should be due around Oct 9th.  DH and I have a three year old son as well.  I've been feeling pretty bad this week, especially in the afternoons and early evenings.  Based on that DH was the one who predicted that I was pregnant first.  Even with AF being late, I was convinced I wasn't pregnant since I've always been a little irregular until  recently and my feeling poorly was so different with DS. I figured I might as well test again anyways (I did do a test when I was first late this month and BFN then).    I tested twice just to confirm.  We were actively trying/charting and then DH got a little freaked out by it all so we went to NTNP and here we are!

I'm looking forward to calling the midwives office on Monday to schedule an appointment.

Welcome everyone! :-) So many october babies, how exciting.

Hello everyone,

My partner is pregnant with our first child, conceived on our very first try with donor sperm from a friend! We're a queer couple living at an intentional community, and very excited to be embarking on the journey of raising a family (although I have to admit I'm nervous about our lives changing so hugely). Our EDD is Oct. 19.
