Congratulations Mommie22! Enjoy your new blessing!

I have been having strong contractions for about 3 hours straight now . They are not painful yet but lots of pressure and some I had to breath through and they have been about  5-10 minutes apart consistently. I am really hoping this is it for me. Please send me vibes and good labor thoughts. I am 41 weeks 5 days and was starting to think It wasn't going to happen at all ( without intervention).  Please god have this be it!!!!

HumbleLuna, I really hope this is it for you too!

I had contractions for 7 hours last night at a steady pace but sadly woke up this morning feeling just fine. I dreamed that I was having our baby but when I woke up the contractions were gone :(

I am feeling so defeated and scared. I am so worried I will have to transfer to a hospital and I don't have a plan for that. I really thought it was happening at 41 weeks 6 days that is a very mean trick. :(

Sounds like my day Thursday, HumbleLuna. I don't have a hospital plan either except that I really don't think I can successfully VBAC in a hospital environment. Fortunately, if everything continues to go well, my midwife is allowing me to go until Friday before I see the OB. Meanwhile, I'm 42 weeks today and more than ready to meet this baby.

Odinsmommy- I am sorry that you are going through the same stresses as me right now. But at the same time it is nice to have someone else who is going through the same thing at the same time. It makes me feel a little more relaxed about being pregnant this long, I am not a freak and other folks have been this pregnant before too.

I have been traumatized after having to go to the hospital for the NST and BPP  tests with the scary OB guy who was really cold and harsh and wasn't going to let me leave, and pretty much told me my baby was going die if i did not induce right then on the spot it has really freaked me out. My midwives have been really reassuring that everything is okay, I just wish I never would have had that experience. Being overdue is stressful enough but being overdue with someone telling you your baby is going to die and the placenta is going to die and all this other horrible stuff is going to happen! yikes!  They totally freaked me out and made me doubt that I will go into labor on my own.I am totally going to write a letter to the hospital when this is all over and make sure no one else from our Birth Center goes there again for testing.

Good luck to you and I so hope we both have our babies healthy in our arms VERY VERY soon.

Thanks for making me fell less alone, blessings to you for a wonderful birth.

I'm just sending you ladies love. I'm so sorry for your negative and scary experiences! I've been 42+2 and had a very healthy baby. I think some people just carry longer and the medical community shouldn't frighten you!!! Hugs.

HumbleLuna Hope I hope another night has either brought you a sweet baby into your arms or another night of peace to trust your body and baby to do what mother's bodies have been doing for millennia. Such a wonderful thing to have supportive midwives. I'm so happy that both of us have that. I hope that your midwives will find another option for their post dates and post term mothers who need to have the BPP and NST. It's so difficult to process drastic differing medical opinions. I remind myself and my wonderful husband that many OBs sadly practice fear-based rather than evidence-based medicine, and it always helps calm my fears.

Peace, calm, and comfort to both of us as we go post term waiting for these laid back, cozy babies to make their debuts.

I am still pregnant!! Went hiking with my family all day, never thought I would be hiking at 42 weeks pregnant or even be 42 weeks pregnant!

I am seeing my midwife tomorrow and think she will do a membrane sweep. I am hesitant to schedule another NST ans BPP after my horrible experience last week. I am going to find a different hospital to go to, hopefully one who is less awful and doesn't tell me that I am killing my baby. But I am supposed to have two more sets of tests next week if baby doesn't come.

I still have one more week at the Birth Center, then after 43 weeks I will need a new plan.

I have been feeling more at peace the last few nights and hope that will help the baby to come. It is so hard not to stress but at the same time pointless to stress when it is kind of out of my hands.

March fourth into the world babe we still have several hour left today!!

Best of luck OdinsMommy! How are you feeling?

HumbleLuna - I hope you can delay one of your tests or at least go to a more supportive place for them. I had a huge sense of peace yesterday afternoon, and I told my DH that today would be today. Sure enough, I woke up in early labor around 4am this morning. Things seem to be progressing well, and I think I may be transitioning into active labor. I hope the day brings labor your way as well.

I hope this is it for you! I just had a fantastic meeting with my midwives this morning and am feeling much more at peace. I also found a new place to have the testing done.

Also rearranged my due date from the 19th to the 22nd so instead of 41 weeks 4 days not 42 weeks 1 day. So that should buy me a little more time.

I was going to have my membranes stripped today but declined it since I am feeling less desperate at this point, but may consider doing it on Wednesday if it doesn't happen on its own .

I am so excited for you! I hope you will be holding your babe in your arms very soon! Can't wait for an update. Many blessings to you for a beautiful birth.
