Okay, so not really me, per say. My DH is going to be traveling to Phoenix next month on business. It's his first trip away from home since the birth of our kids (so, gosh, nearly 3 years now). And I want him to have FUN! His company provides him with a dining/entertainment budget, basically he gets to eat out 3 square meals a day, and he'll have evenings and a couple of days free while he's there. He's never been to Phoenix (nor have I), and we don't know anyone there. His industry tends to be, ah, less naturally focused, so I'm not sure how much he'll love the restaurants that the work folks are suggesting. The man has a more well-developed palate than some of his peers. So could you let me in on what you like to eat in Phoenix? He's adventurous! And if you got an evening or afternoon away from the kids, what would you want to do? Any museums, theaters, parks, etc.? I guess he'll be staying "near the ballpark," but he'll have a company car while he's there.

I realize this isn't very mothering-y, but like I said, we don't know anyone in/from Phoenix. I think he'd be delighted to have a list of a few good restaurants. They don't have to be fancy, or expensive, just good food. Good tacos, good burgers, good breweries, good pizza... The poor guy has probably only had a half-dozen kid free meals in the last 3 years, so I want him to go to some good places. And it would make me feel great if I could give him some suggestions so that he can enjoy himself while he's there.

Also, are there any good movie theaters in Phoenix? We have some up in our neck of the woods that serve food and beer, and are really relaxing to go to. Anything like that in your area? I bet he'd love it!

Thanks mamas.
