In the past couple of days I've been getting a needle pain the feels like it's going sraight through my nipple. It seems to mostly happen about 3 hours after I pump on my right side. My left side I get a shooting pain down the side of my breast as I pump. Is this normal??

Not normal.  Keep an eye on it.  You may be developing a plugged duct.

how long have you been pumping/nursing? it may also ahve something to do with your letdown, some women never feel it and others do. i did when i had a lot of milk- especially when it was time to empty out again, and for me it was a "pins and needles" sensation like when your foot or arm etc "falls asleep"

I breast fed for the first month and a half and pumped as well. But I'm now exclusively pumping and the pins and needles has stopped but right after the pins and needles started I did get a clogged duct and it has leveled itsself out. Thanks for the help!!
