Charters...can you take a guess at my O date (have a DARK BFP on only CD22)???

Hi ladies, I'm looking for some advice on my current (and very shockingly, pregnant) chart. This is my first cycle post-late 1st trimester m/c (in other words, it was my first period after the most recent miscarriage).

I am looking for opinions on when I might have ovulated, as I am only on CD24 and got a VERY immediate positive pregnancy test 2 days ago, on CD22. I was only testing because I thought that maybe I O'd on CD16 (where my coverline showed up) but I wasn't sure, and I never had ovulation pains this cycle (can't remember the last time I haven't had them!!), so even though I had been getting a negative HPT before my period started (after my miscarriage), I just wanted to make sure it was still negative (LOL) and not messing up my hormones still. Well, surprise surprise! (a VERY wonderful and much wanted surprise, but scary too, considering...) Anyway, obviously there's no way I could have really O'd on CD16 then and had a dark BFP like that at 6 DPO!!...I get early BFP's with my pregnancies, like 8/9DPO, but they are just barely there lines, and don't get this dark until 13ish DPO at the earliest. So then I was thinking maybe CD13, but that's still a pretty dark line for even 9DPO...but who knows. I did have red spotting on CD11 and C13, which I've never had before (I spot after my period, as you can see on the chart, but it's always just a little bit of old brown blood, never red).

Anyway, just wondering if anyone who is feeling bored might want to take a gander at what they'd pick for my ovulation date (on a very erratic and unclear chart). It's nothing super important, obviously, as at least I have a pretty narrow timeframe even though I don't have exact dates (and I'd rather assume a few days later, anyway), but I'm a statistics and data person and so I like to play around with this kind of stuff.

Here is my chart (sorry it's so erratic...this is one of my "worst" in that sense in over 7 years of charting)
and
here is the pic of my tests from CD22

Wow, I've got nothin'. lol. You're right, that line looks way too dark for 6 dpo but I suppose 9 dpo is a possibility. Your temps really don't seem to support that though.  Anyways, congratulations! That's definitely a good, strong, BFP!

I just had the same issue this past month. I had a normal period on Dec 26th, started spotting on Jan 3rd (cd9) for 10 days and then on CD 20 tested BFP!.... I still have NO idea when I possibly could have ovulated. We only BD'd on CD 7 ... unless it was conceived BEFORE what I thought was AF. (Here's my chart so you can see what I mean -- http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/ee041 ) I did merge my previous cycle and the current one though... because I figure the only way it did make sense was if I conceived before what I thought was AF on Dec 26th.

Unfortunately, I lost my little bean but I still keep having such odd questions of when it could have possibly happened. It makes no sense and my test on CD 20 was DARK, not just a hint of a line... it was weird and made no sense. I wasn't temping at the time (the one month I didn't, go figure!) but regardless, I am normally a CD 18-20 O'er so to get a BFP on CD 20 made absolutely no sense to me. I guess, sometimes, life just finds a way despite everything we have learned about our bodies, lol.

I have my FX that your little bean sticks! Congrats! smile.gif

So sorry about your loss. :(  Miscarriage is never fair. :(

My period was definitely the real deal, it was very heavy and long and clotty...the whole lot of what's "normal" for my body.  So I definitely don't think a pregnancy would have lasted through that. LOL

Hi OP, I'm so sorry for your repeated losses!  Did you test after your m/c to confirm that your hCG levels had gone down past the testing threshold?  Was the m/c confirmed via u/s?  Two thoughts that immediately popped into my head were that your hCG levels are still high from your previous pregnancy and that's what's causing the BFP OR that you're dealing with something like vanishing twin where you m/c one embryo, but not the other.  Could either of these scenarios be possibilities?

If not, looking at your chart, I see that you marked your CP as HSC on the supposed day of O. This is not terribly likely.  I also don't see any CF marked before or after that O day.  Can you recall what was happening on any of those days?  That could help us pinpoint better.  Your chart does appear to have a vague biphasic pattern, but it's not blatantly obvious and considering you just had a late 1st tri loss, I would expect your temps to be quite erratic for a while.  I see that prior to this last bleed your temps were in the high 97's, which is where they are now, suggesting that you are in fact in your LP.  I suppose that CD13 is a possibility for O, but without CF or CP marked it's really hard to say.   But that would put your BFP at 9DPO, which is certainly possible.  Do you plan to get an early u/s for dating purposes?  This is quite the mystery!

Yes, it had been negative for a couple weeks prior to my AF starting...took a while to completely disappear (I had a "shadow line" for over a week), but definitely did so well before my period.  It was a confirmed loss at almost 10 weeks back in November, so there was definitely no mistaking, unfortunately. :(

I wasn't bothering with my CM at most of the time due to the fact that I figured it would probably be a couple months at least IF I got pregnant again.  My CP was HSC on that day which is what makes me think it was on CD13 (at least more likely, anyway) and definitely not CD16, as my cervix doesn't get high at all until ovulation.

I won't likely get an ultrasound.  It costs me $950 for on in the first trimester!! (and that's AFTER insurance)

Ugh, that's expensive!  Well at least you have a general window of likelihood, so I personally would just go with a due date around CD14, b/c a care provider will use your LMP and come up with that conception day anyway.  Plus or minus 1-2 days isn't much.  If you have a 20 week sono then you could move your due date later if necessary.
