VBAC options in SE MA?

Hello everyone!

Does anyone know which hospitals in SE MA are VBAC friendly?  I know South Shore is still doing them, and Jordan Hospital as well. Which others though?

I've already had a VBAC at Tobey Hospital (with Louise Bastarache) just before they banned them. I would go back to her in a heartbeat if they'd take me!

My other, preferred option is a homebirth  but money is an issue so I'm not sure we would be able to swing it. This is very frustrating!  Any suggestions?

Just make sure you call Louise and add your name to the long list of women that want to VBAC with her- or check in on the situation= it just helps for her to be able to tell the admin. that VBAC is wanted in the area.  I've not heard it has changed at all- but I wonder if seeing that Jordan has added them, might add some incentive to Tobey administration to allow them.  

Also, a few years ago the VBACs were allowed, then not, then back with a waiver, then not allowed at all.  I was pregnant then so saw Louise quite often and would always ask.  I haven't heard the scoop lately.

For homebirth, talk to the lovely Paige Eastman Dickinson and Jessica Petrone.  They are in your area and would be on top of the issue so would probably be able to give you ideas about both homebirth and your best hospital/provider options.
