How are you feeling in these early days? - Page 2

I looked into it when I had a couple attacks during my pregnancy with DS2 but when it stopped happening I didn't think about it anymore.  There aren't any signs of gallstones though, so I don't think a flush would help.  It seems like my gallbladder may just have reduced function, and not be moving things along like it should.  Hopefully we can figure something out when I follow up this week.

Gallbladder stuff is miserable!  I had attacks with my first pregnancy, and then put off having it taken out for about 18 months.  I had the surgery about 6 months ago, and feel so much better now.  You can't do it while you're pregnant, but I'd consider having it out after the baby's born.

I had some pink spotting last night that totally freaked me out.  I know everyone says it's normal, but it's so hard not to stress over it.  I haven't seen anymore today, so I'm really hoping that I just overdid it yesterday.  I never had any bleeding when I was pregnant with DD1, so this is all new for me.  I'll probably call my doctor sometime today and see if I should get checked out.

Yuck, gallbladder stuff is no fun! Hope you feel better soon, Red.

Libby, I'm totally on edge about that stuff, too. I had sharp abdomen pains last night that woke me up and terrified me. Turns out it was just diarrhea pains, but I still freak out at every ache and pain and I scrutinize my TP like never before! This is such a anxiety-ridden time right now. I hope your doctor has some answers and that it's all normal. hug2.gif

AFM, despite the digestive bout last night, I've been feeling pretty good yesterday and today. My husband said I was the most animated he'd seen me in weeks. Hope you're all feeling good today!

Red, my DP had what seems like a gallbladder attack last night.  It was her very first one, and she was in a ton of pain. We ended up in the ER until 3am (yawn! I'm tired today!!), but it suddenly passed, and she was fine.  She has an ultrasound appointment this week.  I can only imagine how you're feeling!!

LibbyLou, I hope your spotting has stopped.  I had it the one time too, and it's very scary!! But, the fertility nurse assured me, that it has to be worsening with cramps in order for it to be something to worry about.  So, I hope this helps soothe your fears a bit. hug2.gif

AFM, just hanging in and waiting for some stronger symptoms to start. Honestly, I'd appreciate some nausea right now! winky.gif

Dandy, I'm sorry to hear about your partner and the late night! My first ultrasound was gallbladder related, not baby related. But hey, it's kind of like y'all are having ultrasounds together! smile.gif

I had my follow up ultrasound this morning and it confirmed the gallstones.  The tech just said it was really hard to scan me (something about how my ribcage is), so that's why the ER doc couldn't see them.  I have a surgery consult in a few weeks, looks like I'll be having it out at the beginning of the second trimester.

What a bummer to hear about all the gallbladder issues!!  Red, I hope that your surgery provides you with a pain-free remainder of the pregnancy!!

I've had pretty much "nothing" days for the last couple.  No more cramping really.  No nausea (not like that should surprise me), etc.  I don't normally get the first tri symptoms anyway (though as I've said before, I'll take 'em!!!), but if this is anything like the last few times, I should start getting the later stuff before I'm even into my 2nd tri.  Last time (before I lost the baby), I was already having SPD at only 8 weeks!! (with my son I had it so bad from 16 weeks on- with nothing that provided relief- that I was crying on a dailiy basis, and I could hear my pubic bone crunching, popping, and grinding...yuck!!) It was nuts.  But after my last year of losses, I think I have a new tolerance for all that stuff, and despite the pain, will welcome it all with open arms.  Because I'd much rather be pregnant and experience them than NOT be pregnant and NOT experience them!!!

Sometimes I do get these random weird "phantom" feelings that my uterus is just huge in there. LOL  Obviously it's not, but it's strange sensation!!

Red, I'm sorry to hear that you have to have surgery but I do hope that it brings you some relief.

1babysmom, OMG I get those phantom feelings too. My baby's only the size of a sesame seed and yet sometimes I just feel oddly heavy and weighed down! I'm glad I'm not alone. What is SPD?

HI all... thought I wasn't going to be able to continue posting here due to what I thought was me miscarrying, but it seems I'm okay for the moment.

As far as symptoms go - not much to speak of. Breasts are a bit tender, mostly in the nipple area and I'm tired a lot. Hungry a lot too. I still get those little bitty cramps and twinges, which freak me out ten times as much as they did a couple days ago. I've been spotting a fair amount too. It started off dark red/brownish and now it's more of a light light brown/tan mixed in with my cm. It seems to be getting less and less each day, but it still freaks me right out.

Other then that I haven't had many symptoms... which was one of the reasons I was so sure I was miscarrying. Aside from what I mentioned above, it don't have many symptoms. Maybe because my HCG isn't that high yet?

Wow, I've had the heavy feeling in my uterus too. DH says I'm nuts. ::P. I'm also majorly constipated but this is par for the course for me. The next person to tell me to eat more fibre gets a punch in the throat. My issue is that for whatever reason, my bowels don't move every day. Then when they do, it's like my poop has built up in there. It's not fun. I'm thinking of trying a daily dose of good quality black licorice because I don't think I can take 35 more weeks of this.

I also feel cold all the time, which is a weird symptom. I don't remember that with my other 2 pregnancies.

I'm cold all the time too, I just can't get warm!  Right now I'm covered up with a blanket and even wearing a knit hat inside, it's not that cold in here for the rest of the family but I'm freezing.  cold.gif

I get really cold every time too!!  Though sometimes I go from hot to cold constantly throughout the day, and I'm always changing my layers of clothing.  Sometimes I think it might give me away!!!

I started in with nausea and exhaustion at 3w5d, at 4 wks (today) I could out-sniff a hound dog, my head is pounding, and I feel like crud.  I'll take it!!!  After a loss at 17 weeks in '06 and at 9 weeks (never developed) in '08 this is a VERY surprise baby with a wonderful man.  I'm divorced and my other 3 will be 8, 10, and 12 when this one is born :)  I was sick as all get out with my first, 3rd, and 4th (cord accident).

My SO doesn't have any kiddos and he has been fantastic.  He's very involved and excited.

Happily carrying a rainbow baby!!!

Hi Mammas! Only thing so far is very mild nausea on occasion, constipation (ugh!), and being COLD as heck! I don't remember that with my first LO! I cracked up when I saw so many others with this issue as well! :)

Im so constipated!! Painfully, i was almost doubled over yesterday (IBS is such a joy, luckily I know its that rather than the baby). Its better now but OUCH. Im also having smell issues, I can smell anything and some smells turn my stomach. I picked up some coffee for a friend yesterday and almost got sick when I picked up the bag from the smell of it. Im not a coffee drink but Ive never minded the smell, even during previous pregnancies, before this. I almost got sick this morning from drinking something on an empty stomach. Oh and the hot/cold flashes are driving me nuts.

Other than that I have no symptoms at all whistling.gif

Man, last night after supper (I had salad) I started feeling nauseous.  Not a ton, but noticeable.  Didn't think much of it until I went to bed and my 23 month old decided he wanted to be wide awake and go back and forth to the potty.  I swore I was going to spend the night puking my guts out, but never did.  I also had a headache on one side of my head...it was pounding.  I've never had a migraine (but I've had a lifetime of baaaaad headaches up until a couple years ago) but last night felt HORRIBLE and I wonder if it was similar??

Part of me was hoping the nausea was pregnancy related (however, you'd think I'd feel different now considering my 3 healthy babies gave me no nausea, and the ONLY one of my other 9 pregnancies where I WAS nauseous was my 10 weeks loss!!!!).  But even if it was pg. related, it's likely only because I've increased my progesterone quite a bit, so like it even matters. :-/
