LisaAdkins - About the temp change when you O, it will differ for every woman and may happen over a couple of temps or just the one big spike. What you're looking for is a sustained temp shift, so you'll have a better idea after 3 raised temps. You can use Fertility Friend to search charts and look at other ovulation charts to get an idea of what it looks like generally. http://www.fertilityfriend.com/cg/index.php Hopefully that link works!

Stevi - Sounds like you've got things pretty covered! It is frustrating not knowing what your body is doing, I hope things seem clearer for you soon.

LindsayDawn & Gozal - Fingers crossed for you for the 2WW! Sending lots of babydust! dust.gif

RavenMadMommy - Oh man, it sounds like you've been having a rough time of it! Do you think you're done with the progesterone now? Hopefully AF comes around soon so you can start a new, fresh cycle!

I have EWCM! Yay! Not a lot, but it's there. I thought I had it yesterday, but I wasn't positive that it wasn't left over semen from BDing the day before. But seeing more today confirms that it is indeed EWCM. I'm hoping this means that I'll ovulate sometime soon, and that I'm not done ovulating yet (i.e. menopause). Hopefully I can continue to BD every other day just in case I can still get pregnant.

Thank you for the new thread DoulaRebekah!

CD25... And another definite +OPK (that makes 6 days now), took FRER (-) and CBplus (-).

7 days till AF is due, I'm gunna keep on taking the OPK's and try to hold the urge to test till Wed night, when we get back from visiting family in Vegas.

Stevi - Hooray!! That's fantastic news! Fingers crossed :)

Cassandraz - Still got my fingers crossed for you girl! Hope you have a fun time in Vegas and get to relax a bit :)

AFM - I'm wondering if my thermometer is a bit faulty because this morning when I took my temp it had gone from 36.22 yesterday, to 37.88 (97.2 - 100) which is totally nuts! I had turned it on, then off then back on again by accident when I was about to insert it but surely that shouldn't make a difference. Anyway, I retook it and it was 36.16 so I decided to go back to sleep (it was 5am) and take it again when I woke up at 7.30 since I know my temp doesn't vary that much if I don't get up and it's still early-ish morning, and it was 36.34. So, I put that temp in and I'll discard it later if it looks too out of place. On advice from some other folks, I'm now wondering if I have ovulated yet or if my body just tries to O a few times before getting it right later in the cycle, my temps just aren't convincing me so we shall see!

I just looked at your charts and they are all over the place, hard to tell, but I think your Ovulation date is correct. Saw that you have EW CM later in your cycle like I did this cycle, so that gives me hope.

AFM...

Didn't expect todays +OPK, I was sure it'd be BFN or faded. I know nothing is medically wrong, so it has to mean something...

I'm pretty sure I'm in the 2ww now, although we are still BD-ing away just in case, as I have no idea where I am in my cycle right now. I thought I O'd really close to the end of my period, but then I got my usual ovulation migraine Friday, so I have no clue what's going on. I also haven't been testing all that much. Oh well, I hope it happens this month.

Have you guys checked out Pregnant Chicken? That site is hilarious! I spent most of the day on there and I can't pry myself away.

Thinking fertile thoughts for all!

After a bit more research, it looks like the Soy Isoflavones may be the culprit for my abnormal uterine bleeding this cycle. So, any of you using it as psuedo Clomid, please be aware that extreme doses can have side effects. I never had any problems when I only took 80mg a day, my spotting occurred after the second cycle of taking increasing doses, up to 200mg (like 40mg cd1, leading up to 200mg cd5).

KatCooke - the pregnancy chicken "pregnancy porn" is hysterical!!!!!  Thanks for sharing :)

No AF yet, and tomorrow is CD 28, which is the longest I usually have.  I'll probably test in the am.  Cross your fingers for me!

cassandraz - yeah, I seem to have fertile looking cm the whole way through my cycle! It never really 'dries up' like I hear you're meant to aside from a few days after AF. Weird!

KatCooke - I love Pregnant Chicken! It's hilarious, and like Lisoula said the Pregnancy Porn is so funny. My personal favourite post of hers is the Awkward Pregnancy Photos - they are out of control!

Lisoula - Fingers crossed!!!

Stevi: Oh, good to know on the Soy. I was going to give it another shot with a higher dose next month but I think I'll just leave well enough alone. I didn't really have a good experience when I did try it. It gave me HORRIBLE headaches. greensad.gif Hope the higher dose works for you though! FX!

Hmmm, I shall have to check out this Pregnant chicken today! smile.gif

AFM: A little girl just recently moved into her own room which means adults are alone in the bedroom for the first time in over 8 years! Sooooooo that makes for lots of tries at baby-makin'! LOL! I also think this loss has given DH baby fever again. He seems to be on a mission. We haven't BD'd as much as we have in the last week or so since before we had children! It's so nice! While it's fantastic that he's all on board about having a baby now, I am kind of wavering. After 5 years of this TTC thing, I DO still want a baby but I am enjoying this new-found freedom and having our room to ourselves (yeah, I know, we don't HAVE to co-sleep)... it's getting to the point where it would be over 6 years difference between my DD and a new baby and I'm not so sure I WANT that big of a gap. However, DD wants a baby sister/brother SOOOOO bad that I feel like for her, I should keep going. Blah. I hate this back and forth. I guess we'll give it a good honest try for these 3 months and then re-evaluate if it doesn't happen. smile.gif
post #13 of 75

doulahrebekah, thanks for the new thread!  I think I'm finally all caught up reading, and ready to be checking in more regularly.  Can I be moved to Waiting to Know, please?

Attached2Elijah, I see you have a DS and a DD, ages 8 and 5.  I do too!  And I completely feel the same way about the big gap.  I go back and forth about whether to keep trying or close up shop.  But, it seems in the last two years, I've met TONS of people with big age gaps in their families.  Almost like it's meant to be encouragement to me to keep going.  So, for now at least, we're TTCing.  Good luck to you!

AFM, it's been a crazy couple of weeks.  I totally changed up my kids' schoolwork because I felt what we were doing just wasn't working.  So I've been busy just trying to keep them busy, and keep myself focused.  I did see a naturopath and had accupuncture last week.  She put me on a cleanse diet, which is not real fun right now.  She also said to give the whole plan about 4 months to heal my systems, and that we should avoid TTC during that time.  Ugh.  Still processing how I feel about all of this.  In the meantime, my temps are all over the place.  FF has moved my O date 3 times, and I have a feeling it may move it again.  I really do feel I O'd on CD14.  Which makes AF (always EXTREMELY heavy on days 2 and 3) due the day before we leave town for my SIL's wedding.  Blah!  I'd like to just go to bed and hide under the covers for the next 3 weeks or so.

Cassandraz- I tested + with an OPK before I did with a pregnancy test by about 3 days, so keep on trying!

doularebekah, thanks for the good wishes and the new thread!

A2E, I certainly understand where you're coming from - my kiddos were "supposed" to be 3 years apart, maybe 4 max, but of course #2 is taking his/her time to get to us, so it's going to be much bigger and that upsets me - a lot. (Though I don't think I'll ever stop trying.) But I did want to mention that my sister is 6 years younger than me and my best friend in the world. We have always been very close. I asked for her and was thrilled to get her!  I hope you find peace with whatever decision you come to!

Good luck lisaoula!

Attached2Elijah...   Yeah, those headaches! Ugh!

Doularebekah...   Do you mean that you have eggwhite cm throughout your cycle? Or are you just always "wet?" I am almost never "dry," but my regular cm is creamy like lotion, whereas my fertile cm is slippery and clear, like eggwhites. I only get EWCM before ovulation, and occassionally right before AF.

Hello everyone and happy Monday :)

I am supposed to O tomorrow, woohoo! These last couple of weeks seem like they have been going on forever, and I know the TWW is going to go on even longer lol.  I am just ready to know already.  I still do not see any EWCM but I do constantly feel 'wet' so I know something is going on in there.

Well, I took a OPK yesterday, but it was negative. But today my temp jumped up by 1 degree Fahrenheit. So I don't know what is going on with my body. We will keep BDing until Wednesday, which would be CD 17 and my cycles are usually 27 to 28 days. Hopefully I would have ovulated by then. This is so frustrating!

So I have question for all of you- my mom, who is sadly no longer living, told me that one of the first signs of early pregnancy is if the area right above the pubic bone(where your uterus should be) is hard (i.e. doesn't yield easily to touch.) Was that just her or has anyone else heard of that?

Also, it is day 2 of my pregnant chicken marathon. I've also gone insane and started pretend shopping for this kid. I have an amazon wish list and everything!

Now I understand what people mean by "baby brain!"

KatCooke: Is that what it's called? In that case I hate baby brain! It makes AF's arrival even worse for me. I'm not sure about the hard uterus question, but of course now I'm going to be checking that every month! Oh and pregnant chicken, lol!

Forgive me for being somewhat new here, but I just noticed that the chart graphics in the welcome message above are links. The link by my name goes to someone else's chart. I'm at http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/28d724 (and http://tcoyf.com/members/sayschu/charts/default.aspx). Not a big deal, it just surprised me.

While I'm on the subject of charts... is your cover line usually at the same temperature each month?
