I'm pretty sure we've got it, my nearly 3 yo, my 8 yo, and myself. I'm kind of hoping it'll just pass, but if it's really likely to be 6 weeks, that would be rough. Otoh, if it's just as likely to be 3 weeks and it takes a week to dx it and a week to take meds... well then it seems like maybe I'd rather skip the treatment. I'm not sure about this, but I think that my older ds had it twice when he was a little guy and I just figured he had a belly ache and it didn't last too long. He had the same distinctive watery yellow poop that my 3 yo is now having. Does anything else cause that terrible ghastly smelling yellow poop? I'm hoping it is the same thing because it was pretty uneventful when my older one had it years ago.
I'm also wondering, if you treat one or two members of the family, would that be worthless if you didn't treat everyone? My little guy is still nursing and I'm not sure if there's anything safe to treat me with and nurse at the same time. I also think it's possible the kids would be more likely to need treatment than me. I could stand to lose a few pounds, but they're little tiny guys. I'd think they'd be more easily dehydrated, too.
