Congratulations!! What day do you ovulate on? That's what will matter, rather than you periods. If you ovulated even just a few days earlier this time, it could make all the difference!!
I have tested + at 8/9 DPO (about 8 days before my period) with 7 of my 10 pregnancies. This time I was likely 9 DPO and got a BLARINGLY + test (like, the average 13 DPO test for me), so we'll see. But we've suspected twins with 3 of my pregnancies and it's only been one each time! As far as I know, early on hCG is generally about the same whether you are carrying a singleton or multiples, and it's shortly after that that you can begin to tell the difference based on levels.
The other thing I tended to noticed when searching twin pregnancy test experiences was that (and again, this is just a trend I noticed) it seemed like women pg with multiples almost took LONGER to test positive, or had weaker positives for a while...stuff like that, that seems like it should be the opposite. But it surprised me, nonetheless!
