Great job on the shirt!!! Have so much fun telling :)
love bug--I'm a few days ahead of you, and the exhaustion really has kicked in this week. My whole body feels like lead!
It's very sweet of you to watch your friend's son but it sounds like he is overly spoiled. It really stinks that his mother seems oblivious to it. If it were my friend, I would decline to watch him again. That's extremely stressful in the best of times, but while pregnant, it's crazy.
I'm 9 weeks and I had to go buy a bunch of stretchy fold down waist yoga pants. The rubber band trick wont cut it anymore. :(
Crys, I hope the ultrasound goes well and it gives you peace of mind.
Crys, Lauren, Mackinnon and Maddie- I am not in maternity pants yet (they are in the attic and I am too lazy to get them) but I can no longer button my jeans! WOO!
Chrissy and Pink- I am a sleepy lady, too. I spend the majority of the afternoon praying that that day will be a day that dd2 takes a nap so I can "watch a movie" with dd1. (Which essentially means we lay on the couch together and I *rest my eyes* while she watches.) Movies are a BIG treat in our house, but she is enjoying the extra screen time and I am not even guilty about it one bit! lol.
WindyCityMom- I am 8 weeks today, too! We must have the same due date! (and your daughter in your belly pic is uber cute btw!)
AFM, I have so many updates!! :)
First, I told the ILs (MIL, FIL, SILs and BILs) about our happy news! It took 25 minutes for someone to notice dd2's shirt. (It was my MIL who noticed, so I won the bet with DH who thought it'd be his sister!) "Big and Little sister? What does that mean?" She looked at me. I showed her my belly which I had been hiding behind a cardigan type shit. She shrieks with joy, everyone else wonders whats going on, we say "We're Pregnant!" All seem happy and are super congratulatoy and huggy. All good things. ( I am hoping one of my SIL's didn't take it too hard as I know she has been trying for a few months to get pregnant... but she seemed ok.) My SIL (who also happens to be my bff from high school) was shocked that I hadn't told her yet. I am notorious for not having ANY PATIENCE, although I've been doing much better with that. (We've seen eachother 3 times since I have found out and each time she would ask about my pregnancy status. I'd always answer that waiting is so hard and she was always thinking that I was talking about the 2ww! hahaha!)
I told my MIL (and only cuz she asked, 'which hospital?') that we were planning a homebirth. She seemed shocked and a little bit worried but tried to hide it well. We also told her we were leaning away from a Jr. if this babe is a boy and she seemed really disappointed about it. (My husband's name is the name of her father who passed away the year we got married.) Also, I don't think she likes the name Theodore, which I mentioned has been the only name DH and I seem to both like. (Ted, Teddy, Theo... Come on! It's cute!) lol. (We are lovers of old-fashioned names.)
I posted some pictures in the belly thread. Somehow, over the course of two days or so, I grew a little tummy! So, I looked pregnant for my announcement! :)
My nausea is waning and isn't an ALL. DAY. LONG. problem any more! Now it just comes and goes at random times and is much more manageable. (I was glad my stomach popped a little since the nausea lessened in intensity...makes me feel like things are still going well and baby and uterus are growing!) Also, I was able to eat veggies today!!! :) Two whole plates of raw veggies with a little bit of the most amazing dip ever! (This is a good thing as I've been living off carbs, cheese, eggs and peanut butter for the past 4 1/2 weeks!
Overall, it was a very good day.
These are my favorite! I like that they can be worn during all stages of pregnancy and after, even with the full belly panel. Unfortunately, Old Navy often sells out of them. I only have 2 pairs and I need some more.
How FUN to tell! My DS is Theodore nn Theo. So of course I think it is adorable! My girls also have "old fashioned" names. All of my kids' first and middle names come from somewhere on one of our family trees.
Maternity leggings--OH MY! I LOOOOOOVE leggings anyway, so I may just have to try these. I got a pair of new maternity jeans from the Gap with the Anytime belly, and the are SUPER comfy. My skinny jeans are uncomfortably tight around the waist band already, so I broke out the jeans yesterday.
crys--Thinking of you!
NOW off to the new chat thread....
