Woo Hoo - I found a care provider!

Pardon the TL;DR but I just wanted to share. I have been having major issues finding a care provider. My Family doctor doesn't do maternity,

and the two referals he does are to another family doctor (who lied to me at 20 weeks and I left last time) or the OB group at our local hospital

(who stripped my membranes without informing me) - there are no midwives anymore.  confused.gif

So I spend this week frantically asking friends (secretly) for help finding one to trust. But I kept looking them up on Rate MD and finding they

had at one point lied to a patient or one even stripped someone's membranes without asking - I usually don't put too much weight in the worst

or best reviews - but these were my triggers y/k?

Anyhow - long story short... I got in with a MIDWIFE... and a really great one that everyone I know loves and respects. I didn't even know

that there were any midwives left at all. At 7 weeks it was too late to get in, but because I am moving at 7 months she agreed to take me

on as a pre-natal only!!!

I still have to find someone to take me on when I move, and I have no idea where, or how I will be birthing... but at least I have someone to

trust to answer questions and find out what my options truly are.

yeay!Congrats.  A good care provider is sooo important. With dd1, my OB stripped my membranes without telling me, either.  How rude is that.  I trusted him so much up until I figured that out.

I am happy for you!
