Breastfed 12 month old refuses bottle and cups

Hi! I exclusively breastfed my 12 month old son for 6 months and tried to introduce a bottle a couple of times but my son wouldn't drink from it. I have being introducing different styles of cups but he refuses them too. He is still breastfeeding on demand. I am wondering how I can get him interested in a cup or if it's just better to continue breastfeeding and not worry about it? Thanks for reading:)

Does he drink water from any sort of cup? If so, I wouldn't worry.

I would continue breastfeeding on demand if possible.

Don't worry about it!  Physiologically/developmentally speaking, it's better for him to nurse from the breast than drink from a cup.  For my 14 month old, we keep a little sippy cup (with a flexible straw) of water around within his reach, and he drinks from it throughout the day, mostly during meals.  There are times that he'll refuse the breast but prefer the water instead.  He wants to drink from our water glasses sometimes too, and we just hold the cup for him.  Just follow his lead; there's no need or reason for him to be drinking from a cup.
