DH has not received a W2 from the company he worked for in the first part of last year. His former boss, also the owner, said that it has been mailed out already and we should have it. He is willing to send out another one, thankfully, but my more looming thought is where the heck is the original?! We do have problems with our mail being misdelivered between the six house in the same vicinity. I regularly (every two weeks) get a piece of someone else's mail and about once a month I will get an entire delivery that's wrong. Today I got some stuff from DH2's health insurance that had already been opened. It's a big company so I'm sure the person just saw the logo and didn't see the name until after it was opened. Everything was there (it was just a handbook, anyway, nothing important). Anyway, if his W2 was misdelivered and the person doesn't bother to give it to us or return it to the post office, can they use DH's W2 to file taxes? Or steal his identity? Is there anything that we can do? Anyone BTDT?
