I was telling someone about how I can't feel movement consistently at 21 weeks.  They told me in their twin pregnancy they didn't until 22 weeks.

I've been feeling things up high, which seemed unlikely to me, but... that's where the baby was hanging out during the u/s today, and I've been feeling things mostly on the right, which is where the feet were. Daily playtime seems to be 7:30-10:30pm, though I've felt things at other times as well.

I can finally join this thread!  Yay! No kicks yet for me (at 16.5 weeks), but I am definitely feeling fluttering, twisting, and squiggles now.

LeAnn, I do think that the babies are still moving around a lot at this stage, so a change in location definitely seems possible.

LeAnn, we had our u/s on Monday and baby changed positions during the actual u/s!  The tech says they still move around a lot at this point.

DH finally felt the kicking through my belly last night.  YAY!!!

eleuthia, weird that your LO moves around a lot in late evening -- I was just coming to the conclusion tonight that that seems to be the most active time of day for mine as well.  squirming away right now, in fact.

A lot of times, the baby seems to be lulled to sleep when we're active during the day, and when we settle down at night, that's when the baby comes out to play! That's been my experience both pregnancies and I hear it a lot from other people. It makes me wonder if that's also part of why the baby's internal clock is usually set to "sleep all day, up all night" when they come out, too.

rebecca10 & hippiekangaroo - It's either playing hopscotch in there or I'm feeling hands and feet. :) I've been feeling little kicks and pops on both sides ever since.

C's Mama - Night time is our play time, too. I think that may be one reason I can't seem to get to sleep before 11pm. I've got a little night owl! She's also pretty active in the morning when I wake up and just a little through out the day. Love feeling those little movements!

DH and I are able to enjoy the regular movements in the evening now after dinner (and he's up allll night with me as well).  Baby must be transverse again these last 2 weeks - with his head to the left and feet to the right (where I feel ALL the movement from ).

Last night I was able to SEE many of his kicks poking through my skin - it was crazy!!  My belly looked like a cartoon, it just needed those word bubbles:  <pow> ... <kick>.... <lemme out!>

For awhile I only really felt movement in bed in the morning and at bedtime.  Today it feels like Master Chief is all over the place.

I think I might be able to finally join this thread!  I'm at 17w5d, so there hasn't been much, but the past 2 evenings and again this morning I felt a little bubbly feeling in the exact same place - on my left side, near the bottom of my rib cage.  So I think it probably isn't just gas, since they were all very specifically in the same spot each time.  The baby has been SUPER active in both ultrasounds, and my midwife had to chase it for awhile with the doppler to get a heartbeat, so it's obviously moving a lot in there!  Looking forward to feeling it more consistently

That sort of deliberate feeling was my first clue when I was pregnant with Cecilia that it was actually movement and not gas or whatever. Awesome!!

Yay!  I'm super excited.  Although feeling movement on a regular basis also sounds so weird.  I mean, pregnancy is awesome, but it's also really weird!  There is an extra human, inside me!  Moving around on its own!  Even though I know how pregnancy works, the reality of it still blows my mind.

Yep.  I was walking into my workout today and little dude/tte flipped or did something insane and I was like "Whoa" and then looked around almost expecting other people to have noticed.  But no, I'm the only one who can feel this extra person.  It's a totally weird but very cool thing.

I went to a modern opera tonight and with the music, voices, and sound effects, he was thumping quite a bit. Dh and I are never that loud, so it was pretty cool to feel him reacting to sound. He also moves a lot after I drink oj :)

Baby Brother moves a ton whenever I eat, and also when I nurse Cecilia. It's really cool!

I think I'm feeling hiccups already!?  I am the weird one that worries that my babies are moving *too* much.  I swear, it's nonstop and they don't move gracefully or comfortably -- they spasm and hiccup and make me think they are having seizures.  Ugh.  I am not one of those people that can discern the position of my babies ever and my uterus is totally on the left half of my abdomen, so it feels weird even to my midwives....no one is ever quite sure what is what with my kiddos.  I'll be curious about position at my next ultrasound...I'll be 22 weeks.  My first was breech from about that point on (until they flipped him at 38 weeks) and my second was head down from about that point on.

My friend jokes that we should be up and about all night and sleep during the day for the weeks leading up to birth and then our little ones won't have night and day reversed at first.  :)

Mine is CONSTANTLY moving too. I too expect other people can feel it but NO just inside me. I don't remember Roland being this active.... and he's hell on wheels at 2. I"m DOOMED aren't I ?

I finally started feeling movement.  She bumps around in there after I eat, especially anything spicy.  She also gave me a little bump every time I laid out in the sun this weekend, which happened a lot since I was in the Bahamas.  I'm assuming she is letting me know she is happy.  B has tried to feel it, but can't yet.  I'm hoping that when we meet him up in NC in a couple of weeks he'll be able to feel her. I agree with PennyWhistle and LilyTiger. What a weird, but really cool thing.  I love getting to feel her move around now.

hi everyone, i am new to this group. i am from maui and my due date is august 30th. 

i haven't felt much movement yet at all - but from the above posts, this seems normal for most mamas? i am at about 17 weeks today. 

i recently had the flu, with fever for 3 days - freaked me out when i read online about links between fever and autism, schizophrenia later in life, etc....if anyone else has any thoughts on this, please share??

other than that - i am having a good pregnancy - feeling good since the 2nd trimester began, still working fulltime, and can't wait to meet my baby girl. this is my second child. my son is five.
