Queer Conceptions February 2012 - Page 15

Nosreves--I meant itchy all over your body.  I had once cycle where several days after inseminating I felt really itchy.  I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced that.  Maybe it was something totally unrelated.  I'm not sure.

Outdoorsy, re healthy egg on CD 25. I'm currently nursing a baby conceived on a CD56 egg. If not longer--I had three months of really wacky charts, after a few months of ok-but-still not super clear charts. Fed up, I found my midwife, and she had me try vitex to see if it would level things out. It really did--I ovulated with the clearest signs I'd ever had two weeks later. We had vowed not to insem on my first post-vitex O, thinking it would be one dusty and shriveled up egg. But we couldn't ignore the crystal clear signs, and got a BFP 10 days later.

I second what everyone is saying re bloodwork, etc.

Carmen--you're in my thoughts!

Lise--fingers crossed for a sticky little bean!

Hi all, wow so much going on here over the past few days.

Nos:Lady you seemed so gracious about getting your period this cycle even if you hadn't expected that you would even try. I'm such a raging you-know-what when AF arrives for me. I admire your calm and redirection to your wife's possibility of being knocked up. fx for you and your wife. I hope she is preggos and you guys will be one step forward in growing your family. Sorry I don't know much about monitoring cycles while on stimulating meds.

Carmen:  My heart goes out to you particularly over the next few days as you focus on taking one step at a time after the medication kicks in. hug2.gif

MrsandMrs and RS: good luck ladies in taking care of yourselves during your time remaining in the tww. fingersx.gif

Mama:I think we have met, but if not Hello and congratulations!!!!Here's your celebration line dance:bouncy.gifROTFLMAO.gifbiggrinbounce.gifbouncy.gifROTFLMAO.gifbiggrinbounce.gif bouncy.gifROTFLMAO.gifbiggrinbounce.gif bouncy.gifROTFLMAO.gifbiggrinbounce.gif bouncy.gifROTFLMAO.gifbiggrinbounce.gif bouncy.gifROTFLMAO.gifbiggrinbounce.gif bouncy.gifROTFLMAO.gifbiggrinbounce.gif bouncy.gifROTFLMAO.gifbiggrinbounce.gif bouncy.gifROTFLMAO.gifbiggrinbounce.gif bouncy.gifROTFLMAO.gifbiggrinbounce.gif bouncy.gifROTFLMAO.gifbiggrinbounce.gif bouncy.gifROTFLMAO.gifbiggrinbounce.gif

Hopeful: your doctor sounds awesome.

Anna: holy moly, what a week for you and DW!! It was pretty evident from your description that your KD possibly has some significant untreated mental health issues and good thing your future child will not have his genes. You guys are very lucky. While you guys are figuring out your next move, your comedic editorials will be sorely missed. I hope you return real soon, ya' hear.

Outdoorsy: I have liked other folks' responses to your "did I ovulate?" dilemma. I think getting progesterone levels checked would be good. I would contact your doc and see if it's not too late in your cycle to get the test done. My other thought is that this whole tracking signs of fertility thing isn't an exact science. There are so many variables that can pose an obstacle. Take last month for me for instance. I got false positive smileys several times bc part of the reference line bled onto the test line. Is there anyway that the test strips on day 25 were faulty for you. Hopefully you get information really soon (possibly through fsh levels test/ or u/s) that will help to give you some answers and direction.

Essenbee: I'm so sorry you  had to be dealing with so much over the past few days. I am particularly sorry to hear about the current health scare with your thyroid. I too hope that this is your month with conceiving and I hope that when it's the right time that you receive the best treatment needed for your thyroid condition and healing can happen. I wish you alot of tlc lady.

Allison: I have heard of people having sympathy pregnancy symptoms. I know that my DW's cycle gets out of whack alot as she is possibly influenced by me taking medication.

Lise:I feel like a middle school white girl when I say "OMG" lady. Yea, faint line!!!!! How exciting!!!! I know you want to be cautious and don't want to get overzealous. You must report back after you get your test results back. We all will be waiting patiently to shower you with lots and lots of spastic emoticons.

To go along with the interesting energy going on here: I have had a somewhat similar cycle to last cycle in that I haven't gotten a OPK smiley. Today is CD15. Nondigital tests on CD 12 were extremely dark, as dark as the reference line. On the same day, digital tests showed a strong and visible test line but no positive. Over the past day or so, both nondigital and digital tests have showed only faint test lines. Do you think it is positive to get a positive nondigital test and a negative digital test at the same time? Are the nondigital ovulation tests just as reliable as the digital ones? I don't know what to make of it but I haven't ever used nondigital tests before, so I don't know how to trust that a dark test line is a positive test. I'm so used to seeing the smiley. Also CD 12 and CD 13 I had EWCM and on CD 13 my cervix was high and about half way open. On CD 12 and 13, I thought possibly I was going to get a smiley any day so, I requested our KD to ship his first sperm kit to us within a day. We insemmed yday morning. So who knows whether or it was good timing? I feel like these days I say who's knows a lot. It is what it is.

Sending out alot of positive energy out into the universe so that all of you may reflect on how fiercely fertile you are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good night and sweet dreams.

Hi everyone else..

AFM.. I am 8 and 9 DPO.. and yesterday and today have had some very white and sticky mucous ..I have not had this before.. and tonight when I went to the bathroom.. and got up.. there was some blood in toilet... odd... I do not know what to think of it.... I am beyond tired.. and this week has been a bit rough.. needing to look for new job as my kids I nanny for are getting older and do not need me as much. so they are wanting to cut my hours ... so sadly after 3 yrs I am looking for a new family.. I have an interview tomorrow.. with 15 week old twins and a 5 yr old ( would almost always just be the  twins) ..I really dont need a job until Sept when the pay cut happens.. but I want to start looking now.. It is tough to find a good family! So though im not stressed. I am sad.. .. that I will miss the kids.. but life goes forward and there will be new l/o to love and grow with!!

hey gals, does anyone out there want to volunteer to take the thread for March?  i forgot that this was a short month whistling.gif

Well...anyone that questions the sensitivity of internet cheapies should not anymore! My beta was a sad 15 (the nurse practitioner that called me didn't even seem worried about it...I questioned her on the phone but she didn't seem to know much) and I am sure was much lower the day I took my first test--that is pretty amazing for strips that came free with my OPKs! The good news is, my tests are getting darker so I am hoping my little bean just had a slow start and that maybe I implanted at day 11 instead of 6? Not exactly sure what to think but feeling MUCH more positive today with a stronger line on my strip. For now, I am pregnant. Finally!

pokey--I got really, really itchy all over my body the day before my miscarriage. When I researched it a bit, I read somewhere that it could be a result from an influx of hormones.

Essenbee: I'm sorry about all that your going through. What your sister did was not cool. As for the thyroid, I know how scary it can be. I recommend getting a second opinion before doing anything. If it is cancer, you want to get it removed, pronto, and if it's not, you don't want to lose your thyroid. Those drugs don't work for everyone and they have a lot of bad side effects.

Outdoorsy: I couldn't look at your chart either, but your cycle sounds a lot like mine when I'm not on ovulation drugs. I have mild PCOS; my only symptoms are anovulation and a little bit of excess hair growth. Every month, my body would gear up to ovulate and then not do it. Sometimes it would happen multiple times a month. If that's your problem, the ovulation drugs should take care of it. They will also make your cycles a lot more regular. As Krista said, bloodwork and an ultrasound are the best way to diagnose it.

Lisedea: Congratulations! Yay!!!! joy.gifjoy.gifbroc1.gifcbanana.gifjoy.gifbroc1.gifbroc1.gifbanana.gif

Gelly and Sky: Welcome!

Carmen: I hope the medication works for you quickly, and you can grieve and move on.

Nosreves: Good luck this cycle! Both for you and DP! I hope she gets a BFP!

AFM: I'm 9 DPO. I was cramping some again yesterday and I've had a horribly upset stomach since last night. I've had lots of CM as well, more than last month, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything one way or another. AF came at 12 days PO last month; I hope I at least get to test this cycle!

Lise, we have baby clothes for you. November is a great due month! Halloween isn't bad either!

I can't do veggies from here but they're dancing their rumps off for you.

Yay Lise on your BFP!  :D  Stick little pea!  sticky.gif

I guess I could be having a sympathy fake pregnancy, but that would actually require my wife BEING pregnant, no?  Which she is most definitely not.  :(  CD30 and not a spot to be seen.

A side note, it's super super windy here.... I have a feeling I'm going to be spending my afternoon picking up after the trees later.... :P

Congratulations, Lise!!! Holy crap that's exciting!!!! SO happy for you joy.gifKeep us updated on your 2nd beta!!

Cananny, the blood sounds strange (I'm imagining it's more than spotting if it was in the toilet?). Have you contacted your care provider to ask for advice? Wow, 15 weeks...I can't imagine having to go back to work with my kids so little! Good that there are caring people like you out there to care for them though! I hope you get the job.

rs: I have a good feeling about this month for you!

Afm: Well, the medication is sure working. I took a dose at about 7pm last night and woke up at 1am with cramping and heavy bleeding (and a good cry). I took a tylenol 3, DP brought me a dose of chinese herbs and a heating pad and I fell back asleep about 30 minutes later. Woke up again around 5, took another tylenol 3 and back to sleep. Up at 7:30 with DD and have been not bad so far. I haven't had to take anymore tylenol 3 at this point. I'm so relieved and I feel like a big weight is off my shoulders. I have to monitor my temperature for the next 2 days but otherwise I should be fine if everything passes and nothing is retained.

Cananny: Good luck! It sounds like this might be your month!

Essenbee: I hope you get a BFP in a couple of weeks!

If I forgot anyone, I apologize. The forum has been giving me issues. Posts keep disappearing and reappearing.

AFM, I've had an absolutely miserable day. I have been *so* sick to my stomach. I don't know if it's the last of the trigger shot exiting my system, or if I ate something rotten, but I have been absolutely miserable since just before lunch. Of course, part of me wants to think this the first round of morning sickness and not food poisoning, but I'm trying to keep that thought at bay!

Thanks for the warm welcome back...here is hoping that we get our bfp this year!

I can't remember how to change my signature....can anyone give me a hint?!?
