My dd was born 16 days ago at home, the placenta went in the freezer right after it was delivered. Â I had thought about smoothies after birth, but didn't get around to it. Â I've felt good so far, but am starting to feel more fatigued an irritable. Â I know my hemoglobin and ferritin were low before birth (tested about 10 days before baby came).

So...I came across the placenta this morning and wondered...is it too late to get the benefits? Â If I chunk it up now and do smoothies for a week or two, will I get any reward from it? Â I'm still a bit squeamish, but am convinced by other threads on here that with enough strawberries, I can get it down. Â But, I don't want to do it for nothing, you know? Â Has anyone gotten around to the placenta a little later and still benefited from consuming it?
