possible partial second degree tear untreated

I had my last baby almost two years ago and think I might still have a small amount of torn pc muscle that just never got repaired. I was unattended for the birth but examined by an experienced mw shortly after and though the tear was definitely through the whole 1st degree, she and I didn't think it was past that. I was unwilling to transfer just to fix some skin. Now that time has passed, I have thoroughly investigated the area and think there might be a small amount of muscle that did get torn. When I flex the muscles while touching it, the deepest part of the tear seems to twitch a little and there is a noticeable difference in firmness of the tissues on either side of the bottom-most level of the tear.  It hasn't affected my continence or sex life. DH got his tubes tied so this will not be an issue during subsequent births. I do my kegels. I didn't have a prolonged healing time and this is quite possibly just my neuroses getting the best of me.  Does anyone have any experience with something like this being left alone? Is it likely that this will become more of an issue as I get older?  TIA.

im sorry i cant answer your question, you should have it looked at by your doctor to see how badly it tore, I would imagine it wouldnt be an issue. However at this point i dont think a repair on it can be done.

I third degree tear involves the muscle.  If you aren't experiencing fecal incontinence, then you probably were correct that you experienced a second degree tear.  Your vagina changes with every baby.  I wouldn't worry too much if you aren't having problems.
