Hey everyone. Congratulations to all of those who had losses this week!
I just came back from my WW at work meeting and I lost 1.6 lbs. I'm .4 away from 10 lbs. since I joined! I was hoping for that ribbon this week but I guess I'll just have to wait

. I keep thinking of you. The positive thing is that you did have a loss this week but I know how frustrated you must feel. Especially with an event like the one you have coming up. Keep in mind that you're doing this for yourself and your health not everyone else. Here's another good article from Dotti's that might give some ideas.
Do you ever make that zero point vegetable soup? That's been a real lifesaver for me, especially when I am really craving chips/prezels/snacky cakes kind of food. Really fills me up and you really can eat as much as you want for zero points. I often have it for a snack when it's what I used to call "chocolate-o'clock" (3 PM-ish)
:. If you don't have the recipe I'll be happy to post it.
Everyone is different and I know YMMV but with regard to nursing points. I started the program with the full allotment of nursing points (32 or something outrageous). Someone here mentioned that you were supposed to go to the regular points program when your dc started solids. Since I was already having supply issues I stuck with the nursing points and decided I would drop a few if I stopped losing. I am still losing with the extra nursing points, HOWEVER, I rarely use all of my flexpoints. I actually expected to gain this week because I went over my points on a few days this week (free ice cream at work
: ) and used almost all of my flexpoints but thankfully still had a loss. I am also only four weeks into the program so I haven't come up against the inevitable plateau. I think one of the most important things with weight loss and nursing is to take it slow and listen to your body and your dc and let that dictate what works for you. A loss of a pound or less a week is probably much more healthy in the longterm than big drops. JMHO. My first week I lost a big chunk but I know that was because I wasn't pigging out on all the junk I used to eat daily.
T So excited that this is my 100th post!
Also Saturday is my dd's first birthday so I have to do a smilie for her

We'll be going to a different meeting/leader when I re-join...

I ran nine freaking miles on Friday and then a gain of two pounds?? I didn't go crazy over my points, maybe one or two flexpoints here and there. When I was hungrier, I ate a healthy snack like an apple and peanut butter. I can't figure this out! Anybody have any advice? Last week I lost .2, and this week this big gain. Blech.

brooklyn jen) so I walk alot anyways. I have been really trying to go for about 40 minutes a day with the baby in addition to what I normally do. The thing is I walk so much that I feel that my body is used to this form of excercise (even when I walk briskly non stop for 40 mins). Do you think I should still be tracking these activity points?
I think the big thing for me has been a realization that I don't have any willpower and I have major emotional issues with food. Keeping the emotional part of me in check has helped so much. There's actually really good info in Dr Phil's weight loss book about this. A friend of mine does a 12-step program for people with food addictions and she talks me out of my "I have no willpower" speech every time!
