Subbing.  Will update my weight for the week tomorrow.

I gained a pound since monday but today I am starting a low carb diet for the first time ever! I hope I get good results. I spent all last night reading the book LIFE WITHOUT BREAD. Are any of you doing low carb or have in the past? I would love to hear your experiences and maybe some go to foods?

I did a low carb diet once and lost like 20 lbs but it all came roaring back and then some. Mine was an Atkins diet though and looking back I can't see how a diet that does not include fruit and allows any kind of meat and cheese could be good. I just suggest moderation. I am doing weight watchers now and limit carbs just because they are so many points. I eat a lot more veggies and fruit now and stick to healthier lean proteins. We actually try to use meat more as seasoning and less as main course. So far both DH and I have been losing weight and it is easier to stick to.

Updated my own stats to 174. Almost back where I was before the holidays. I updated total lbs lost too even though it felt like a cheat since they're the same lbs...I just gained them back.

this morning when I stepped on the scale it said 199.6. Woo Hoooooooooooo! I am officially back under 200 lbs. That means I hit my first goal. Now when I get down to 190 that will be my next goal.

I would like to join in! I just had my baby on Jan 27th, so I am still pretty freshly postpartum and won't be actively dieting or cutting calories, but am getting back on track with really paying attention to my nutrition and counting down the days until I can start running again :)  I plan to run a marathon in the fall (I hope!) and so getting to that goal will be my top priority and I figure I will likely lose some weight along the way. I currently weight 131lbs and my goal is 120.

I went back a few months and took some of the inactive members off the first page. If I deleted you and you are here please, please, please don't take it personally or get mad. I can easily retrieve the data and put you back on the list. Just check in and I'll do it.

Hi! My name is Jyn and Im a mom of 7- my youngest is 9 mos now. :)
I want to lose 25 pounds in total, today is day 9 and I've lost 5 lbs eating healthier and working out (which I have never done before!)

I started at 151 and Im 146 now.

Im on Phase II of the South Beach diet because Im nursing still, and I love it! I am basicly eating like a healthy person and not living on cereal, scones and sugar which I LOVE to do! I can't wait to go rock climbing this summer!!!

No weight loss for me this week. Kids and I have been sick so no exercise and I ate some comfort food. On the bright side I didn't gain any either.

trekkingirl- how is low carb going? I got to thinking of the low carb I did before and it was very strict. No fruit even. I am wondering is just cutting back on carbs would help me. I might try it.

I weighed in at 151 on Saturday! :D

I am now down to 129!! :)

I am hoping by the end of the week to be able to do some exercising. my body has been recovering more slowly from the birth than I had been expecting.

Low carb is going really well. I've lost a total of 12 pounds! I was back up to 208 when I "woke up" and this morning I weighed in at 196.8! I haven't been extreme, the book LIFE WITHOUT BREAD suggests not too much fruit because of the sugar. I have a little fruit. It says 72 carbs a day. I don't count carbs, I just eat whats aloud in the diet. I think breastfeeding is helping expel calories because exercise has been really hard. I have been trying to just get out for a walk. Or sometimes just get out of the house and away from the kitchen. I had a procedure on my back on Friday and I have been in a lot of pain ever since.

My sister gave me some really expensive designer jeans that are a size 10. I am really encouraged looking at these jeans knowing they will fit me really soon!
