since there is no August 2012 Due Date Club yet, I just wanted to start one. Are there any other Mommys-to-be out there due in August?

Congrats August mamas to be! The DDCs now are under the Groups tab on the Mothering header instead of in the forums. I'm pretty sure you'll find a bunch of other Autust mamas there!
