The momswhovax blog deeply saddened me.
Â
The mother vaccinated her baby, he got whooping cough anyway, and was later diagnosed with autism. May or may not be related to the vaccines he did receive, but nobody can know for sure.
Mom decided to stop vaccinating, and worked naturally with her child to help heal his symptoms.
Â
Mom accidentally gives baby #2 strep B from delivery, and baby needs antibiotics. From this scare, she decides that if antibiotics are helpful, then so are vaccines! Out of fear, she decides to resume vaccinating.
Â
Then, the mom claims that all the natural healing methods she had used to heal her son were like "throwing money down the drain." This makes no sense to me. It appears the methods DID help her son. I don't understand this lady. She calls herself arrogant for believing the treatments helped her son. So I guess it's arrogant to try to cure illnesses the natural way?!?!? How insulting. To top it all off, she agrees with Paul Offit. Ugh!
Â
People claim that parents who do not vaccinate do so out of fear. In my opinion, this mother decided to vaccinate out of fear. Not everyone who vaccinates do so out of fear, but it sounds like this mother did! This mother, who thinks she can "debate circles around any anti-vaxxer."
Â
This is the second article I've read of yours, and the second time I wish I hadn't. I will not be reading any more opinion pieces for a long while! Not good for the blood pressure lol.
Â
Oh and the Paul Offit book--yes, the anti-vaccination movement IS a threat--a threat to his bank account!
