There's a couple of us (so far!) scheduled for early ultrasounds, so let's get this thread rolling! I have one at 3pm tomorrow and hope to share a pic with you if we get a good one. So looking forward to seeing baby and finding out our due date AND if there's more than one! Not that I have any twin indicators, but there's always the possibility!!

Bummer, I couldn't find a sitter. My new appt. is for late afternoon Mon. It's good babe will have some time to grow, so hopefully (If I'm not farther along/blood tests indicate this is a possibility) we'll get to see more than just yolk sack and fetal pole (baby) . =P I want to see the heart beat.

An update:

We saw our Pickle's heartbeat this morning.  Just the loveliest little flutter! And yes, just one little critter in there. S/he measures at 6w3d, even though s/he's only 6w1d, and everything looks great and healthy!  Yay!!!

Wonderful!!!!  I had my first scan on Friday and we saw..... thick utrus walls... thats all, so this little one may be later in arriving than we thought!

 

I had blood tests Friday and today (Monday)  So I'm looking forward to seeing what my levels are.  I've started my MS though, so I'm not worried, but I will feel better knowing that everythings is where it should be (and seeing how many little ones there are as I REALLY would love 2 bundles of joy!!)

How does one get lucky enough to get a scan so early?  When I called the day after I found out I was preggo, ob/gyn office receptionist wouldn't let me see doc before 8 weeks (went to consult with doc on an entirely separate matter, and he gave orders for them to schedule me earlier, so go in tomorrow for first prenatal at 6 weeks 1 day).  No one has said anything about scans.  I'm clueless.

We got to see the heartbeat! 120 bpm which is great. Just one little bean ( lentil size actually smile.gif) in there. My best guess for LMP was off by a week. Baby is measuring 6w4d and my EDD is now Sept. 27. I really would like to stay here with you all though. I feel connected already. Any objections? Please, please feel free to pm me if you do. I would totally understand, really.

Oh, I forgot! The sweetest thing. Dh started a new job a month ago, working for a friend , and he can go home whenever each days work is done. So far he has worked till 5 pm at least and usually much later. He works with 2 other guys as a team. Today they got off early enough for dh to go to the US with me, so he got off work at 3pm! The other guys (inc. our friend/owner) had no clue about my appt. What a sweet gift from above and such a comfort to be reminded of God's love and that He is with us, especially after our recent loss. DH and I feel so loved by this!!

The only reason for our early scan is because we worked with a fertility clinic to conceive, and it's standard protocol for them.  Otherwise, I think we would've waited until much later too.  Our midwife appt isn't until Feb 28th, which would have been our first pregnancy-related appointment if we'd conceived on our own.

I was surprised the first time (last fall) but apparently it is standard at the OB office I'm at right now.  They like to make sure everything is where it should be, and use it to get a EDD.  I'm very irregular, so I never really know when I ovulate.  I did get my beta's back and all is looking good there, 1730 on Friday and 6499 on Monday.  The schduled another U/S a week from Wednesday so I'll have an "official" EDD then!!

Awww, thank you dandylez. So wonderful to see your little pickle snug inside, too!!! I love how you described your baby's heartbeat. That is exactly it-the loveliest little flutter.

My dr. ordered one for my comfort (standard protocol for moms who have lost a child-I miscarried last Nov.) mostly, but also to establish an EDD as I was unsure of my lmp. I was waffling back and forth and had actually decided to just wait, but when my betas came back high my dr. wanted more info. and at that point so did I.


Sorry for all the edits I'm finger picking on a tablet and this males it hard for my thoughts to cobe witten down cohesively. I want a keyboard for this thing! So frustrating.

It will be a while before I go in for an appointment even. Military doctors don't see you until at least 12 weeks and I still need to transfer my tricare. Right now if I need medical attention I have to go to an urgent care unit or ER since my Tricare doctor is still my old one from where we use to live. I probably won't even get to transfer my medical insurance for a couple weeks since finding a place to live and moving in takes priority and my husband has to go back to work soon. After he goes back to work its going to be a lot harder to get anything done. Sometimes you just have to love how the military work.

I had my first appointment today.  By LMP I am 7w 1d, by ultrasound 6w 5d with a perfect beating heart (rate 133 bpm).  VERY reassuring after my last two!!!!

I have an ultrasound scheduled for this coming Monday (Mar. 5), when I'll be 6w6d. I wouldn't usually do an early ultrasound, but my last pregnancy was ectopic, so I'll feel a lot better once I see the little babe in the right spot. :)
