How is everyone doing?

Wanted to give you all a heads up with regards to Fermented Cod liver Oil in the Valley.
MatSu Midwifery is selling the Blue Ice FCLO now, at  the same price offered online.
They have the new flavors which are amazing! I can now take FCLO straight without any problem!

Why fermented vs 'regular' cod liver oil? Curious.

clo you can buy in the regular market is highly processed, and usually has synthetics added. Even the ones that say natural on them cannot compare to the real deal.
It does not resemble the stuff of the vikings.
www.greenpasture.org is where you can read about reviving the practice of fermenting the livers for an optimal product that is packed with high levels of D and A.
This is the only company making this stuff. The brand is called Blue Ice.

I have big news. Shortly, I will begin the journey of getting my Holistic herbal Professional certificate, and possibly even my clinical.
I will be utilizing www.vintageremedies.com for my classes.
The Holistic level will take me 28 months, and if I feel up to it, I will continue on with the clinical course.
I hope to open an office/store on our property when I am finished, offering my knowledge for health needs, herbs, and classes on traditional foods and making things like tinctures, salves and infusions.

Does anyone in Anchorage have a dentist you like there?

I really need to get to a dentist, I haven't been to one in a couple of years (yay unimployment/no insurance), but I have a very painful tooth so I need to see somebody who will be REALLY gentle. I think I have deteriorating enamel, so I'd really like to see someone who has maybe natural leanings, and can help me with rebuilding enamel rather than just saying it's a lost cause... Any recommendations?!

When our regular dentist refused to remove my 8 year old daughters tooth that had a cavity they tried to fill 4 times yet the tooth kept hurting her, we took her to Glacier Dental off of Tudor. He was really good and they took her, no questions asked.

How many of you have looked at airline costs lately? We had planned a family vacation for a family reunion in the lower 48, and after looking at tickets, we had to scrap plans. No more babies in laps, and ticket prices are almost double with Alaska Air. Even with miles and a companion fare, we can't swing it!

Everything is going up. Food at most fast food places and at the local military base commissary is up. :( I'd imagine that airlines would follow suit. Just today gas went from $3.99 to $4.08 in 30 minutes!!!

Totally blows. :(

yep, last summer a one-way ticket (for 4 people) from Seattle to Kotz was about 1600.
To get us all back from Kotz to Seattle this summer (5 people, but still) is going to be 2600

GAH!!

I know, it's march, but we don't have a new thread yet so I'll ask here since I figure some people are subbed to it...

Can anyone recommend a good piercer in Anchorage? I want to get a cartilage piercing in my ear when I'm there in a couple of weeks, and I'd like to go to someone reputable.

My Daughter went to the Hole Look for her tongue pierced.
