As I sit here in my 39th week and no signs of anything coming , I was just curious to know for those of you have just recently given birth - did you have any signs that birth was imminent, either physical signs or premonition type feelings?

 none for me - I woke up at 6am on my due date (wed) with contractions - I lost my mucus plug and had bloody show after contractions had already started. 

I had a little premonition tue night but i think it was wishful thinking - we finally decided on a name and i finished packing all our bags thinking he would be coming soon.  A similar thing happened on sat night though were i just HAD to clean and vacuum the house and i thought maybe that was a sign but nothing happened til wed.

Not really.  Some menstrual type cramps. A lot of hope and wishful thinking!

I had my membranes stripped the day before, but on the day of birth I had a bloody show, followed by lots of menstural like cramps and then light contractions before it really started. I was super hormonal. DH was playing a video game and DD had her toys all over the floor and I was bitching up a storm at him about how I could go into labor at any point and I didnt want the whole house to look like a tornado had hit it when I came home from the hospital. I cried because I couldnt bend over without peeing. It was kind of ridiculous.

Not really, I had a little bloody show right before going to bed and woke up a couple of hours later with contractions. I was a little weepy and emotional the day before but that was it.
