Hello everyone.
Â
I am about to become the father of twin 11yo boys. I've planned to someday adopt children in need since I was very young. I didn't originally imagine being a single parent, but I got tired of waiting, so here I am. I work from home as an investor, so I will be able to provide the attention my boys will need. I ended up raising my then-16yo godson after his father died (he's away at college now) and have been working in a volunteer capacity with children in the community for the past 8 years or so. I hope those experiences have prepared me somewhat, but I don't think anyone is ever fully prepared to be a parent, whether they're adopting or having their first bio child.

I'm joining this community so I'll have a place to go for advice and support as I try to put all my research on attachment parenting into practice. For the first two or three months I have the boys I don't intend to allow anyone else to watch them, even for a few hours, so I need a community I can reach out to from my computer. This community seems very positive, and I like positivity.
