I realized that since we always buy our onions in bulk, we usually have to toss out at least two or three when they go bad because we didn't use them in time. I have this great little onion-cutting tool, and was thinking about just chopping up all the onions and freezing them. Has anybody else ever done this? I know I don't want chopped up onions in my fridge because they tend to smell even when they are in a ziplock bag. I would appreciate any tips. I'm trying to get my family to where we don't throw out any food out anymore at all.
