Aromatherapy for labor

Thread Starter

Has anyone used aromatherapy in previous labors, or is planning on using it this time?  If so, what, and how?  :)

I didn't do it myself but my midwife carried clary sage to help with labor.  If you google it there are some websites with information on it...

Wishing you the best :)

My midwife used cool wash clothes in lavender water when my blood pressure got high due to stressful nurse and to help keep my focused during pushing.

I also sucked on a lavender preggy pop to relax for awhile and a peppermint one when I needed energy.

I thought it really helped.

I used them for my labor. I had several, but only wanted to use Rose once the contraction got intense. I mixed it with a carrier oil and rubbed it on my wrists. During the contractions I would take a deep inhale. I think it really helped me focus on my breathing.
