So I've been drinking Celestial Seasonings True Blueberry tea for a few months - basically as something warm to drink instead of coffee. I just happened to look at the ingredients this AM and saw that #1 is hibiscus. I googled and yes, indeed, it is bad for ttc. It apparently prevents implantation, prevents pregnancy, raises estrogen, and can cause miscarriage :(
Â
I had a Dec. miscarriage, during the time I was drinking the tea. During this pregnancy is when I started drinking the tea.
Â
Last cycle was my first ovulation after m/c. Despite a really amazing chart and pregnancy symptoms, I did not conceive. And I was drinking lots of the tea, esp in my luteal phase - part of my attempt at relaxing/not stressing re ttc.
Â
Today is cd12, and I think I'm ovulating today. I haven't had any tea in a few days. I'm throwing my tea in the trash.
Â
Just wondering if anyone here has knowledge re hibiscus and if I should be able to conceive despite consuming hibiscus in my follicular phase? It kind of seems that hibiscus in luteal phase would be the most hazardous - given that it prevents implantation and raises estrogen. Just hoping I'm right.

Thanks :)
