Pre-eclampsia ... some guessing with probabilities (or experiences)

Hi,

What are the chances of getting preeclampsia in a 3rd pregnancy if the mother didn't get it in her first two?

Any knowledgeable sources or just experiences?

It is very unlikely unless you are a) significantly older than your previous pregnancies, b) with a different partner, c) are carrying multiples or d) have developed an underlying condition since your previous pregnancies that predisposes you like kidney disease or essential hypertension. I believe that rates of pre-e in a multip without pre-e in a previous pregnancy are low single digits, but I cannot find that information right now.
