Annapolis Area Mom

Hello, Does anyone live in the Annapolis area? I am in Arnold (about 10 minutes from Annapolis) and would love to meet some like-minded mama friends. I have 4 year old daughter and am expecting another daughter in may/june:)

Hi!

My twin daughters just turned 4 and we live downtown, Arnold is nice, do you live near the B&A trail?

Wish I could plan a playdate, but I work and our logistics are very tough.

Just thought I'd give you a shout out and say yes, there are plenty of crunchy folks in the area!  Hope our paths cross sometime soon.

Some of our local favs - Maryland Table, who delivers wonderful sustainably farmed food. Pricey, but amazing produce.  And the Chesapeake Children's Museum.  It's a little dingy but my girls love it.

Best wishes!

Yes, we do live pretty close to the Bike Trail. We like to spend time on the trail as well as at Kinderfarm Park. We have been to the Chesapeake Children's Museum a few times, my daughter had a lot of fun there too:) Thanks for the tip on Maryland Table...I have my favorite farmer who sets up close to my house, but it's nice to know of other services in the area too! I will check them out for sure.

Glad to know there are other crunchy mamas in the area! I know you work, but do you ever do the kids cooking classes at Whole Foods?

Thanks for your response:)

Kid's cooking at WF, mmmmmm.  We need to do something like that, my girls need to expand their palates in a big way.  I'll look into it if my schedule changes.  (I've applied for a local job which would give me lots more free time.)

I have sworn to never set foot in the Towne Center again - for taking business from downtown and the mall, and for being generally annoying.  But I might make an exception.

Groceries are tough.  Grawls feels, well, familiar but not good enough in any way.  Fresh Market is costly but without being well rounded.  WF is in the Towne Center and I always spend too much.  We need a better local.

Who's your farmer?
