I'm so curious to see how you're all liking your diaper bags after our thread discussing them way back when.  

I got the Charlie bag by Timi & Leslie and am still absolutely thrilled with it.  It's big but I can keep it on my shoulder with baby in sling and holding DD1's hand.  I have used it for my purse every day since I got it.  Love, love, love.  It makes me feel all grown up, haha!

So, happy?  not so much?  too big/too small?  Carrying more than you imagined or less?

We were thrilled with our fisher-price backpack...until it got lost on errands last week. It was just big enough for enough to be out all day, but not so big that it was too cumbersome for smaller outings. I want to try to find another like it. Plus, dh liked it. I'm not a purse person so it felt like what I was used to carrying anyway. In the mean time, I'm using the hospital freebie. I hate it, not enough pockets.

I don't think I participated in the discussion about diaper bags way back when, but I'll contribute now!

It works great for us. the only thing I don't like about it are the zippers on top for the main pocket. It's a zippered flap to close (I guess to give a wider opening) with a loop to the zipper on either side. I find it impossible to zip with one hand. One zipper will zip halfway and the other will be stuck. And I'm afraid the zippers are going to break from the tugging on it.

Otherwise, it's great. Tons of room for my nursing cover, a blanket when we're not using it, cloth diapers, etc. There's a small waterproof zipper bag inside that can hold a wet cloth diaper or two when I forget to bring a plastic bag. Right now it's way more pockets than I use but I think as he gets bigger and I'm bringing toys and snacks and juice cups it'll be great.

It is small which I love since I have always been a small messenger bag type person and it is very similar to the bag I already was using except it was a diaper bag with tons of pockets.  I don't bring bottles with me but the exterior pockets are great for my water bottle.  I don't like to bring a lot with me but I can very easily fit a change of clothes, diapers, wipes, a blanket, burp cloth, a toy and my own wallet, keys, checkbook in the zipped mama pouch.  I love the magnetic closure too, no zippers to fuss with when I need to grab something out of it one handed.  It has a lot of small compartments which are good for plastic bags, toys, snack bars for me, socks etc.

We also have a bigger one we bought at babies r us on clearence before we knew someone bought this for us off the registry.  I am not sure if we will eevry use it because I hate carrying around big thick bags.  I too have never been a purse person. I just use messenger bags and back packs. I have a couple of backpacks I could use too if we need more room.

I like it okay. Don't love it, or hate it. I can't wait till he is a little older and I won't need to carry a diaper bag around. I've always not been a fan of them. I prefer to just throw things in my pocketbook.

Nope, not happy with mine.  I have three ... one is a large purse-ish type bag that I love the look of, but it doesn't work for me.  It's cavernous, and poorly made and the strap is too skinny to wear comfortably messenger style. 

The second one is a larger, mostly vinyl messenger style bag, but it's too large and too rigid.  The third one is the one that I've been using for the last three years.  It's a smaller cotton messenger style bag ... I love it!  But it's just two small for two kids.  I can fit everything for an outing with one child, but not too.  Once you add a snack and water bottle and spare pants, it's too full.  I want one just like it, only a teensy bit bigger.  For a while, dd was carrying her things in her backpack, but the novelty of that wore off, and now she doesn't want to. 

Where, oh where, is my perfect bag?

I like mine a lot: http://www.etsy.com/listing/75900750/the-market-bag-in-navy but mine is in rust corduroy. It's not the greatest DIAPER bag on earth (no zip top) but it works just fine for me and I like the way it looks. I also use a bag that I made for a second. All set!

My "diaper bag" is actually just a large purse I got on clearance. I really love it though! Way more than I loved the diaper bag I bought for ds1. This one has a zipper across the top that opens to 2 main compartments. One side holds am extra outfit, 5ish diapers, wipes, burp cloth, changing pad, diaper cream and I think that's it (but theres a little more room for anything else that's needed). The other side holds my wallet, ds1's emergency kit (inhaler, spacer, epi pen), a credit card holder (really holds gift cards), some random odds and ends. When we all go out shopping it also holds dh's wallet, a book for ds1 and my coupon books. There's pockets for my chapstick and cell phone.

Not bad for a $3 purse!
