Only Child (6 -8 yr old) Playdate in Joliet/Plainfield/etc area of Illinois

Hi- are there any other natural minded families out there in the Joliet/Plainfield/Shorewood/Lockport/naperville/New Lenox,etc. area of the Chicago burbs that have a "lonely only" around ages 6 to 8? Are you like us, and have a boy (or girl) that is always wanting someone other than mom or dad to play with on weekends? Do you find most of your child's friends have multiple sibs and parents too busy to get together on a regular basis? If so, would you like to coordinate a playdate?

I have an 8yo that can really never get enough social time.  We homeschool, but even so--we're at social stuff multiple times/week and in the summer on the block we moved from in July there were THIRTEEN kids and he'd spend 8 hours/day with them at least and come in crying that he'd "barely had time to play with his friends".

So, ummm.... yeah.

We're in Aurora but right near the Naperville border.  We just moved to IL about 18mo ago and I'm just getting my head out of the sand now, so I know Joliet isn't HORRIBLY far, but I don't have a time estimate in my head.  We have a class in downtown Naperville every Saturday morning and a swim lesson at 2pm on Sundays on the border of Batavia & Aurora, but otherwise, we're pretty open!
