Same here!,

just had acupuncture. it was super intense, the sensation in the acupuncture points, that is. it was my first time with this acupuncturist, and i like him. he's an md, that now does mainly acupuncture. turns out he used to do homebirths. anyways. no contractions during the treatment, and nothing else yet, but i'll see what happens. something tells me she might come on the 25th, tomorrow, which, at this point, would be a good thing.

Good luck OdinsMommy! My girl was born at 41 weeks 1 day and my warm contractions were very similar, only mine lasted for 3 days ;).

When I was pregnant with my son I was the last person in my DDC to have my baby. It was really hard. He was due on 12/25 and born on 1/1 .

I have a feeling that might happen to me again as I was due on the 19th and still no babe and the days in February are running out! Come on babe! Please come out.

Are there others still waiting?

My EDD was the 18/19th. Still waiting as well. I've been having lots of warmup contractions for 3 days now. My midwife's early March EDD client just had her baby last night, and her late March EDD client looks like she might go early as well. It's crazy to think that I could have a March baby. If baby doesn't come by next weekend, we'll try for a castor oil induction before I have to see/transfer to an OB.

Still waiting. I walked to whole foods and back last night 1.5 hours and bought some borage oil, bromelaine tabs, black cohosh and a homeopathic remedy I read somewhere about being used for this issue (frightful uterus or something like that ... It spoke to me.) gelsemium sempervirens. I was so scared of birth last time and this time too, but at this point it just seems like I'd rather get it over with and be back home. Even my little three year old who hasn't said much either way about the new arrival is asking when she's going to come out.

I'm at 40+ 5 today and not surprised at all! My first baby was induced at 41+3 and the first thing the OB said when she caught him was "oh, he could have stayed in a couple more days". Gee, thanks. Second baby born at 42+1 and third baby at 42 weeks exactly. I'm just a slow cooker I guess. I would like to be done but am pretty sure that this baby will probably be a March baby.

40+6 today. Felt a few low menstrual cramp type things this morning, but nothing very exciting. Don't know whether to try to rest or get up and walk around.

I try think of every warm up contraction as making a little progress, even if I am not in active labor I have had a few periods of frequent strong contractions. I am hoping that they have prepared me so when labor is real and painful it will be more efficient and my body will be more prepared. My midwives don't do cervical checks unless there is a reason so I have no idea what is going on with my cervix, but it would be great to start active labor at like a 4 ;)

Good luck to you!

It's got to be soon for us now....right?

i am trying to savor my last moments of pregnancy.

Sounds like a few of us are having some good warmup contractions. If things get going today, it will be day 5 of warmup. I'm actually quite okay with them since I'm an HBAC. It's a good feeling knowing my body is slowing gearing up, slowly stretching and strengthening my scar and uterus for the big event.

You and me both! I'm a HBAMC (multiple c-sections). I've been having these "warm-up" contractions for over a couple weeks now. Literally, mine went to 4 minutes apart and lasting more than a minute in length. This went on for hours and hours. Then spread apart and just occasional ones that were much stronger after that. Yesterday, they were about 10-20 minutes apart and super strong! They started about 9 am or so and continued until yesterday evening, then petered out. I had a bunch of watery pink mucus yesterday when I wiped from urinating. I mean a bunch of it. This morning I had a lot of it too. Cramps and just occasional small contractions that feel mainly more like BH than anything.Oh, instead of soft stools like the past few days, this morning I have diarrhea too...over and over.

I hope you and I have our healthy babies in our arms today!!

still pregnant. 41 weeks today, based on early ultrasound (which adjusted the EDD from the calculation based on last period by almost three weeks from 2/5 to 2/20).

it feels like she's dropped a bit, but tonight i had a really bad dream about animal slaughter (i'm vegan, this stuff upsets me), and i woke up wondering whether everything was okay with the baby. i'm going to pay attention to movement today and drink lots of water so i can keep lots of fluid. my next appointment isn't until  Thursday, so 41+3. i do hope that i'll go into labor before then...

still taking borage oil, black cohosh, gelsemium, bouncing on the ball, riding the kick scooter, walking, nursing a three year old for hours and hours (he's congested so he's waking up and nursing lots at night, in addition to the usual super long morning nursing session). going for acupuncture again today as well.

i am feeling fine and wouldn't mind being pregnant at all, were it not for the looming induction that i'm sure they are going to talk to me about on Thursday... that and that i don't want to have to birth an enormous 42 week baby. (i'm kind of scared about the baby's size to begin with, because i gained much more weight than i did last time (DS1=6lb 11oz) + DH has an enormous head (DS1's head was average at birth, but quickly grew to 99%ile after birth, DH had to be CS due to the size of his head).  ::: gaaaaa ::::

Sounds like you will have your babe very soon , if not already!  I haven't had any signs other than a lower belly.

I have the same worries right now too. A big overdue babe and hospital interference. I am supposed to schedule a NST this week at a hospital but I was hopeful all weekend that I wouldn't have to. My son was a week "late" and pretty big and I am worried about the size of this babe too, not that I am over 41 weeks. I am also hoping to have babe before my next midwife appointment on Wednesday, so tired of the boring late pregnancy appointments, "yep. still pregnant here. " The Birth Center I am going to can see me until 43 weeks, but 43 weeks!!! that is nuts! Hoping to still have a February baby.

Just checking in on you ladies. Sending warm, labor vibes to all of you!

countingmore Wow! Hope you have a wonderful HBAMC! Sounds like you have the makings of early labor rather just a warmup. Hope you're holding your babe in your arms very soon.

mrscookie - Hope you can clear away the last night's nightmare and fill your mind with beautiful visualizations of your baby's birth day. I hope you don't have to worry about your next appointment and push for induction but are holding your little one by then. I've actually gained half the weight I did with DS1 but this babe is definitely going to be bigger. So strange how the two don't necessarily coincide.

HumbleLuna  - Hoping all your worries wash away so you can focus on your babe and birthing day. I'm getting bored of the "still pregnant" appts too. My next one is Thursday, and I'll be 41w 5-6d. More than anything I'm tired of everyone else's impatience. I trust that this baby will come when he is ready. Of course, I'll most likely be attempting a castor oil induction this weekend with my midwife if he hasn't come in order to avoid seeing the OB and risk the "induction" rec.

I can't believe I could have a March baby!

Thank you everyone :) I have an update. Monday at 6:22 pm I started with cramps, then contractions. This morning at 3:22 am, I awoke to my water broken. Having cramps and contractions, though contractions are irregular in space between them. Anywhere from on top of each other to numerous minutes apart. Please pray/send positive energy for a healthy baby.

Thank you :) Oh, and I'm 41 + 1 today.
