Hello. After a surprising and not initially thrilling BFP, followed by a harrowing 3 months of bleeding and many nights of suspected loss, it looks like I'm here, and this baby is too. And luckily, thinking we were losing him or her made us realize how much we wanted this baby to come along and complete our family.

So here I am. Just wanted to say hi. I've been pretty quiet about this pregnancy with all of it's emotional upheaval. I'm excited to finally start embracing it.

Welcome! We have a couple mommies that have been in those shoes with the bleeding... I believe previa and SCH causing it for them.

I had previa bleeding last pregnancy... it's so scary seeing blood at any point in your pregnancy except the very end!

Welcome onemomma! I had unexplained bleeding at 11 weeks, and I too, thought we were losing this baby more than once. Culprit: Large Subchorionic Hemorrhage! But, the OB I visited (we have a planned homebirth) has been amazing and it seems this baby is doing amazing and the SCH is almost gone. Here's to a healthy 5 more months! love.gif

Hey there,

Glad you are here.  I'm one of those mamma's with the dreaded bleeding.  It's awful.  Mine is due to previa - and I pray that it just stops.  JUST STOP IT ALREADY. I can hardly stand the stress and worry.

Sometimes, I feel I need a support group, just to deal with the stresses.

I can see why having kids is for the young.  I don't have the heart for this anymore.  I'm 37 and tired.

Thanks for your warmth Mamas. With 3 other kiddos (and a foreign exchange student!) to keep me busy I think I just went into self preservation mode, and did what I needed to in terms of taking my prenatals and eating healthy, and otherwise just kept on going. The drama was too much. One ultrasound gave me a probable diagnosis of subchorionic hemmorage, but subsequent ultrasounds were poorly done and just didn't tell me much.

Cheers to you, women walking gracefully through difficult pregnancies. It's harder than I ever imagined.
