I am creating a group of mothers with babies who love to get real coffee, visit parks and museums or visit with each other for play time, chat time + coffee, and do activities such as mommi+baby dance, Yoga, pilates, drawing, sewing and nature walks.

I happen to be a pilates/yoga/dance teacher, an artist and nature lover and since having my DD who is now almost 9 months I have been craving to do more of my stuff with other like-minded mamas. I have designed our place so that the living room is more like a dance studio and therefore can host such activities for up to a few mamas+ babes. I have plenty of art materials as well as a sewing machine and skills I'd love to share.

On the agenda would also be trips such as visiting the Nassau County Museum of Art which has wonderful easy trails to hike, an art studio and of course, amazing grounds with beautiful sculptures.

I have been doing all these by myself+ DD and I thought it would be fun to do this with others who live in the area and have similar interests.

I guess if you are in Whitestone, Beechhurst, Bayside, Douglaston, Great Neck, manhasset, Roslyn, Port Washington, Glen Cove, Sands Point, Sea Cliff, or really anywhere in Queens and Nassau (if you'd be willing to drive), this would be convenient for you.

Although some of my favorite spots to get coffee are in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Long Island City, I do not let that stop me. I do go there once in a while, so if you are willing, we can organize car trips together (I am an expert at parking with the babe getting fussy). My car can fit one more mama + car seat and baby.

I often go to Sweat Leaf in Long Island City as well as Ella Cafe in Williamsburg. I am also familiar with all the cute baby shops in Williamsburg to visit and the new beautiful east river state park that is right on the water and has a "natural" playground. I just love my good coffee, and ambiance to go with it, so I can't give that up.

So if you want to join me for some fun with the babies, please let me know- feel free to IM me, message me or answer here.

There are also beautiful parks to explore in this part of Long Island, so once the weather is a tat warmer, I would love to organize hiking outings and picnics to places like the Fort Totten Park, Little Baby and  Sands Point Nature Preserve, Welwyn Preserve, etc... Those would be for other baby-wearing mamas who, like myself, are hikers and look for opportunities to get into shape by fastening the baby on and striding onto the trail with a smile.
