Question on Implantation Bleeding

I've never posted to this forum, I hope it's the right place and you ladies can give me a little insight.  I don't chart or temp, but have a fairly decent idea of ovulation by cm and time of the month (I know that's not very reliable, but we're not actively TTC or TTA).

DH and I DTD on cd 12 and he didn't withdraw (the only 2 times in the past that he hasn't have resulted in my only 2 pregnancies), and now on cd 16-17 I've noticed just a little "brownish" mucus (sorry TMI) on my underwear, so I felt all around the cervix and also came up with a small amount of blood-tinged mucus.

Not having any other symptoms and I know this is probably too early for implantation bleeding.  My cycles are usually around 30 days, but last month was 25 days.  I've never experienced IB in the past and was just wondering is this sounds like it could be it.

Obviously the only way to know is with a test, but of course I'm curious and looking for signs!  Thanks so much for any help!!

Well, you may hear differently from a few other posters, but I believe implantation bleeding to be very uncommon and that it really must show up within the implantation time frame of 6-12DPO (and 84% of the time implantation occurs between 8-10DPO).  I do not think that the spotting you're getting now is from implantation.  That would mean that you O'd at the latest CD10, which is 2 days before you DTD and therefore could not result in pregnancy (the egg only lasts up to 24 hours after O).

Based on your CF when do you think you O'd?  With a 30 day cycle, we might assume you O around CD16-18, which would be now.  It is not common, but certainly possible to spot with ovulation.  Often this is considered a sign of very strong or extra fertile ovulation.  And since sperm can live in fertile CF for up to 5 days, you definitely could get pregnant from your CD12 BD session if you're Oing now!

With all this in mind, I would test in about 2 weeks if AF does not show before then.  Good luck and keep us posted!
