Deformational Plagiocephaly? - Page 2

Kali, look in finding your tribe for a doc who will take unvaxed kids.  My kids see a GP, rather than a ped.  I think our doc is the only one in her practice who is comfortable with non-vax, so it really helps to ask around.

My daughter had torticollis, it wasn't bad to treat.  We did exercises and I switched up every night which side of me she slept on.  The docs also recommended decorating the crib on the side I wanted her to turn her head toward.  She didn't sleep in a crib so we didn't worry on that one.  If I hip slung her I made sure to keep her on my side that encouraged her to turn her head toward her bad side.

Something's wrong with the sound on my computer today but this video shows the exercises. If they say anything stupid, I'm sorry.  I have heard that treatment time is much shorter if you start PT earlier, so if you want to get started that's probably not a bad thing.

Went to a new doctor today. The dr said he noticed the torticollis but thought that we could just work with him on our own, keep an eye on it and take him back in two months (Enoch has been getting better since we've been working with him the past week!).

AND then he said that although he supports the use of vaccines, that he thinks it should be the parents decision and that we could be his patients no problem. This is VERY unusual to find a dr like this in our area (I've tried). Plus Enoch liked him- smiled and laughed at him. And the wait time was very little.

And Enoch is in the 92nd percentile for weight & height at 15 pounds and 25 inches!
