Even after I empty my bladder it is still that noticeable. As I do squats during the day everything settings deeper in my pelvis.

Oh I'm not disputing that at this stage, it's fairly easy to find your fundus :)  I know mine is quite pronounced. But if you are having a hard time finding it, try laying on your back with a full bladder (remember drinking a gallon before an ultrasound?) and it should be pushed up higher out of your uterus. Once you feel the shape of it, I think it's easier to find under more typical circumstances.

Regardless, it's not a huge deal at this stage because it'll be up and out for the world to see in no time at all! :p

aww I miss my belly ring. I had to take mine out - it was starting to migrate around 9 weeks - because I was so large already. I tried a plastic pregnancy ring - but it didn't work either. Guess I'll have to get it re-pierced one day.

I don't miss mine. I will never have a flat stomach again, I am sure, so no reason really to keep one! lol.gif

First pregnancy I had to take it out about 30 weeks. Second I think it came out about 25 weeks (and I waited). Th's time I'm guessing it will come out about 20 weeks. About 5 weeks to go :-( oh well, it will go back in after baby. DH is really the only one who sees it anyway.

Lactomom, you are lopsided like me as well... I tend to be fuller on the right side, you look like you are fuller on the left. :)

Of course your body will never be "the same". This is a new chapter in your life, and a beautiful one. Try and enjoy your changing body.

I do tend to be fuller on the left side. That is also where we suspect the placenta to be attached!

I know it won't be the same... this is the beginning of that. Trust me - I'm not at all confused about what my body is about to go through. I'm just stating that losing my belly ring was the first part of that journey. I'm definitely enjoying EVERY part of this pregnancy - except for the nausea that won't seem to leave. eyesroll.gif

I know my placenta is on the right side... it's been on that side my last two pregnancies as well. :)

Im 15 weeks and mine is above my belly button for sure.  I had my appointment yesterday and the midwife said it is normal by your third pregnancy; I have NO waist though, Im sure that has something to do with it.

16 weeks exactly, and right at the belly button.

Thebyr - I know what you mean :)  It took me awhile to fully see and appreciate my new body, I don't think it fully set in until between my second and third pregnancies :)

I think mine is three-ish fingers below my belly button. It's firm if I feel up from my pubic bone and a bit tender, then just gets softer. Sound right? How do you measure? From pubic bone to?? I'm 13w6d w my first. :)

lol TIzzy. Yeah - I'm at that realization point - RET NA! twins.gif

I don't miss mine. Mine got *WARNING ICKY* torn out when my dad's dog jumped on me and one of his nails got caught in it...

I don't know WHERE mine is, but my midwife basically felt for my fundus and said "oh you're measuring PERFECTLY!". It made me feel really good. :)

I officially felt mine for the first time today.  TMI alert, but after sex my whole uterus was rock-hard and I could totally feel it.  It was just a little below my belly button (a finger or two, but I wasn't really paying attention, just poking around).  It was cool too because I think the placenta is attached on the right side because there's a bump there that there isn't on the other.  It was really cool.  I made DH feel it, even though he was a little weirded out by the whole thing.  So, for those first timers who are having trouble finding it, try post-orgasm and see how it goes.

PS: I am so glad this board is anonymous.  blush.gif

Yes!  That's a sure-fire way to see your uterus (the big O) - kinda crazy!
