Ok thank you, I will do that.
Can we discuss post partum.... self care? - Page 4
Where can I find/order witch hazel without alcohol?! One of the health food stores only has witch hazel toner without alcohol, but it has a bunch of other crap in it. I swear I remember seeing it in like CVS or something, but of course now I can't find any that's not 14% alcohol. Any suggestions? I have one other health food place to try, but then I'm out of ideas.
Thanks! Even though I have lived in Barrie most of my life, I really don't go to Toronto often, so I don't know where to start looking. But if I know where to get it, I can easily swing by and get some. It will give me something to do in between the start of Mat Leave and going into labour. I'll make a side trip to pick up some baklava too... mmmmm I have been craving it and have a favourite bakery there.
Did you tear badly, arby or have stitches? That's what makes the world of difference. I think when the pain and swelling is down enough that you can touch it without pain then you can wash with mild soap and a washcloth. I didn't really tear or have a lot of pain in that area and it's been sooo long since i had a babe in which I did -14 years! so I can't remember the time frame. I'm sorry, I'm no help. LOL.
My nurse told me to "back that thang up" in the shower but not to use soap for the first week because it can dry the area out. I had stitches and a 2nd degree tear, and I'm waiting to use soap until I get a clearance from the midwife but really...I just want to take a shower. A real one.
