Not eating

My 22 month old girl barely eats these days and can be super frustrating and it makes me sad.  I work hard at making a variety of healthy foods for her and she barely touches them. I think I am more upset and it adds more pressure about because she is already just so tiny!

I am a small person and she is not on the charts for height or weight. Her pediatrician is not really concerned because I am small and she is just so bright and ahead in all milestones.  She is happy and doing great so there are no concerns at all.  I still nurse her in the morning and at night.  She used to be such a good eater and now she barely touches things she used to love.  Anyone else dealing with a picky toddler who barely eats?  Anyone else have a peanut for a child?  Any recipes to share? Thanks!

My 23 month old is petite, too, so I understand where you're coming from. SHe's in about the 10th percentile I think. Toddlers are notoriously picky and fickle, IME. What they like one day they won't touch the next. I keep offering healthy choices and try not to stress about her eating habits. I choose not to make a big deal about food preferences, because I think catering to a picky eater and stressing about mealtimes makes for picky eaters.

I offer, and she's pretty good about tasting things, but doesn't always eat much. I can count on fruit and/or yogurt to always be accepted, so if she doesn't seem to like what I made and I want her to fill up (like dinnertime) I get her some yogurt and a banana.

Thanks for replying.  And you are absolutely right.  I definitely wrote my post after the most frustrating day of not eating.  I normally try not to stress and worry about it.  If it comes down to it, she too will eat berries and yogurt:) Toddlers are always changing and I just need to remember to keep meal time easy and not push her to eat right now. Thanks again!
