Pertussis vaccine for adults?

we have a bit of a strange situation.  our best friends are moving into our house for awhile and they are due with their first baby next month.

their obgyn recommends that all adults in contact with a newborn get vaccinated for pertussis.  for me, i don't really have a problem doing it.

however, i was hoping if any of you know if there is a separate pertussis vaccine so i don't have to do the Tdap.  (i had a tetanus shot 3 years ago with an injury and i'd rather not get extra vaccinations).

i can't seem to find the info anywhere!

i dont think there is a separate Pertussis only for adults...its either DTaP or nothing...chances are you already got the new adult version with the pertussis in it...call where you received the vax and ask them.
