So throughout my pregnancy i have been reading on these different forums but never really joined! So in being new to this I thought I would ask a pretty stupid question - what do all the abbreviations mean? Heres what i have seen and what i think they are;

l&d - labor and delivery

DH -

DD -

lo - little one?

PVD?

 

If there is any others I'm not sure what they are.

 

Also to introduce myself;

 

I'm Cynthianna, 20 (will be 21 middle of may), working on my Bachelors in Child and Family Studies, From Oregon. My husband and I got married in July, have been together for 5 1/2 years. I do child care out of my home and am part of Girl Scouts. We are having a little girl her name is Kaia Amelia Rose, and as of Dec 09 she weighed 10 oz (19 weeks).

 

I'm the type of person for instant gratification so with the inability to get another ultrasound as i am not in any high risk or risk category I am going against the "typical" controversial dilemmas and I go in next Friday the 17th for an elective 3D/4D ultrasound, in which i will be 29 weeks.

Welcome to the group!  I love your baby girls name.  On the abbreviations, dh is dear/darling husband. DD = dear/darling daughter.  I don't know on PVD

Pvd...that has me stumped as well.

I can come up with lots of answers such as "Pesky venereal disease" but it really would depend on the context it was said in. LOL
 

What college do you go to if you don't mind me asking? I go to WoU but take online since we live far away from the campus.

Pretty name :)

Portland State University. This is my first year, I graduated this past June with my Associates in Early Childhood Education and Family Studies :)
