DH and I haven't done Valentine's Day in a long time.  I am not a fan of forced romance - when we did celebrate it, it always ended up with disappointment, tears and fighting.  I am glad that DD is young enough that we can avoid it this year, though I suppose next year I will have to figure out how to make it meaningful for all of us.

I bought condoms.  Does that counts as a Valentine's Day gift?   We aren't big celebrators, but we did frost cookies with the kids this weekend. We probably will go as a family to Applebee's because we still have a gift card from Christmas.

Aww, DH bought me roses tonight.  I held the baby up and said, "Here's your gift - a talking Valentine!" as Sora babbled away at him.  "She's the gift that keeps on giving!" I joked that I *gave* her to him for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and now Valentine's Day. She keeps getting regifted.  I don't suppose I can stretch her out through his birthday in June too...... hahaha.

We don't usually celebrate on the actual holiday because everything is so nuts, but we're actually meeting for lunch in the middle of our workday at my favorite restaurant. DS will be at preschool, so just DD will be with us so it will be a little bit mellow. For dinner we will just have a nice meal at home and I'm baking something special. Hoping I will be completely over this cold that I can't seem to kick! 

We don't do gifts (though I did tell him I would happily accept chocolate), but I still need to get him a card...

My DH came home with cards and a flower, and we're going to watch a movie then go have grown-up time. =) That's enough for me.

Well the pictures were a huge hit and made the day fun for both of us, but then ds1 took an hour to go to bed and Avery took a cat nap at 8pm and didn't fall asleep for the night until 11pm.  Sigh...  Sufficient to say I wasn't exactly rearin' to go at that point! 

On the bright side, I fit into a pair of my pre-pregancy jeans and dh bought me some super cute and comfortable boy short panties that actually fit as well!  Yay for real clothes again!
